Re: Eastern Brown vs Alexander....District Semi
I was surprised earlier as no one had started a thread on this game. Maybe both teams were trying to lay low ?

You may be right but I think Eastern should deal with them well.

Re: Eastern Brown vs Alexander....District Semi
Well, personally I think there is a little added incentive after having to drive 2 hr. to play a game when the other team travels for 10 minutes. Just a thought for motivational purposes.
Re: Eastern Brown vs Alexander....District Semi
It can be motivational.....and it can also be a slow start waiting to happen.
It's the 2nd level of the post season.....teams should have to travel an hour or so.
The only flaw of the Convo for tournament games.......it's a long way from the center portion of the district.
Seems like few games are matchups of roughly equal distances.
What team is the farthest away? Manchester? Whiteoak? Miami Trace? Lynchburg Clay?

47-35 Eastern Brown FINAL
According to the radio, Alexander had 22 turnovers. Here's what I could gather from the announcers in terms of scoring. Please forgive me on any mispellings of the Eastern Brown players, the radio reception wasn't the greatest.
EB
Little - 18 Points
Payne - 9 points
Nabb - 8 points
Alex
Bobo - 11 points
Lawson - 10 points
Meadows - 7 points
Williams - 5 points
Hart - 4 points

Re: Eastern Brown vs Alexander....District Semi
Hart for Alex is a shot blocking machine. On a couple of possessions I think he had 2-3 in one possession. Anybody have that stat? I'm betting he had double digits before he picked up his first foul in the 4th qtr!
Re: Eastern Brown vs Alexander....District Semi
Don't feel sorry for the travel of eastern Brown. They were in the SW for years and they petitioned the State and lobbied to be moved to the SE, because their leagues is in the SE, and the tournament trail is a bit easier through the SE than the SW
