2009-2010 Peebles Indians...Thank you
From the bottom of my heart boys, thank you. One basket does not erase a great season, or what you've meant to our town. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Hold your heads high. You are the Indians.

Nice job Peebles. During the whole season all I looked forward too was going to the game and supporting the Indians. The Eastern and Ironton games were the two greatest games I've seen.

I posted this on another thread, but thought it was also appropriate here.
To the Peebles kids, congrats on a super season, and I'm not just talking about your great record or team/individual stats. I also mean congratulations on bringing a school and community together, from the kindergarten students who wrote letters to their "Indian team" and the 4th and 5th graders who shave their hair like yours , to the businesses on Main Street who hung signs and painted their windows, and the parents and friends who didn't miss a game all year. One of the main reasons it's been such a great ride, aside from the many wins and amazing games, is the HEART amd PRIDE you've shown as an outstanding group of young adults. Thanks for letting so many of us be a part of it!

I agree indiangirl. This team has been through so much together as I think you said on an earlier post.....the exciting nailbiters, the broken records, the heartbreaks and loss of loved ones. Through it all, they've only grown tighter and closer and have supported each other. They've always been a true team, always about each other, from the starters to the last one off the bench. Night in and night out they gave 110% and laid it all on the floor. What an amazing group and an amazing season. Thanks for the memories.

As an outsider: The fan support at the convo for this Peebles team is one of the best I have EVER seen in all my years of going to the Convo (more than 30 years) to District and Regional tournaments. For a DIII now and what used to be a single "A" school, this is fantastic. Some of the other teams around the SEO area should visit your area and see what's in your coffee, soda, milk or whatever because it's definitely refreshing to see this much community support in this day and age.

It has been awesome and it's been that way all season. Most of the time on the road, even on a weeknight we'd have as large if not larger crowd than the home team. That really says a lot.
