Manchester handled the pressure very well.

Alright, let me put it this way. If the same thing happens again this week against the central district competition, these same results of saturday will not occur, period...end of discussion. NEWARK CATHOLIC is going to beat Bucyrus Wynford and then defeat whoever wins this game easily for the regional championship anyway.

Newark Cathoic won 50-28 tonight and will play Tree of Life @ 7:30 Friday night in "THE BARN"
Prediction: N.C. will chop down the "Tree" by 15

houndfan....I'm not in favor of a urinating contest....if you would like to hear my athletic achievements I'll send you a PM.

So golf requires no athletic ability? That sounds like something someone that doesn't have the cooridnation to golf might say.

Manchester beat some great teams this year, you had a great season, sounds like you got off to a bad start last night, or things might have been different. Great season.

i really hate to nitpick like some people do, but anyone that watched that game last night probably noticed a 3-4 minute span where the refs let #42 bryan redic do whatever he wanted, i counted atleast 3 offensive fouls that should of easily been called...he had a much smaller travis combs guarding him and was throwing him around like a rag doll, driving and hooking his arm around a defender to get by him is an offensive foul in any leauge also, another time in this span he #42 was accidently tripped and after the whistle was blew ( when he was on the ground ) he reached out and grabbed combs legs and threw him to the ground.....with that being said the rest of the game was fair, just that 3-4 minutes

just wanted to say congrats to the Greyhounds on a great season...........Dylan Hanson way to carry the team on your shoulders last night you really stepped up and showed what you are made...........Travis Combs and Dawson Little way to help Hanson last night I would hate to see what would have happened if you 3 boys wouldn't have been there (it would have been nice if the p.o.t.y would have showed up to help but that is what happens when they choose a young and inexperience player that is easily intimidated).

Well i am a TOL fan as i'm sure you know...i talked with Bryan Redic after the game and asked him about that play where he tripped combs. He didnt grab his ankle...it was accidental. Redic even had the decency to help Combs up off the floor...just as he did when he knocked Little down while wrestling for a loose ball. Redic is 205 lbs. While Combs looks like he might be 160. With a 45 lb weight advantage, of course Redic tossed him around. Basketball isnt a contact sport, but that doesnt mean it isnt physical. Combs was being very physical with Redic and Redic was being physical as well. If a foul should have been called, it should have been a double foul on both of them. But it was the refs decision to let them play. So if the fans dont want Combs to be thrown around like a "rag doll", then tell the coaches not to put him on a MAN that has 45 lb. on him.

I would have been pleased with double fouls, but even as good as redic is, he still needs to learn to not hook his arm around his defenders waist when he's going left( that's even a foul when we play streetball) it's an unfair advantage for the offensive player AND is a foul in every game I have ever seen..and as far as the tripping play goes, I don't think it was accidental, it was after the whistle and he swiped at his legs, it was a cheap shot from a very talented ( but also very emotional ) player.. That kind of stuff can get someone hurt, combs is a sophmore and the future of our team... With all that being it was a great 2nd half ballgame. And it wasn't redic that helped combs up, your 6th man ( #24 ?? ) is the one that tried to help him but he shrugged off the help because he was upset...overall it was a good game, we just came out flat in the first half and your coach did a good job keeping 2 guys around our POY the whole game.... Good luck against Newark catholic in your next game
