Chandler Grooms? Come on now guys, Chad Lands, Justin Craiger, and Tavarus Pickett. Chandler Grooms doesn't even compare close to these sophmores. Also, has an ugly shot.

Amazing who we are calling excellent shooters. What does it take to be an excellent shooter guys? I would say above 80% from the free throw line and above 40% from the 3 point line or 50% from inside the arc. How many of the kids we are talking about can pull this off? There are good players but not many excellent shooters. Save the excellent shooters for the kids that put in the time to become shooters or are just naturally good at shooting the basketball. I have seen to many excellent shooters go to the free throw line and pull a 50%. Shaq can pull that off. By the way, Bird had a good looking shot and above 90% for most of his career.

seriously?? why is it mrbasketball that anytime someone mentions a player from western on one of these forums you have to jump on and bash them..we may not have the most talented team in the league but those us them that are left are exceptional kids and i have never been around a harder working group..however if any of us knew exaclty who you were it would shed alot of light on all the negative comments but we will keep on guessing i suppose..this is brandy by the way..i dont need to hide behind a fakre name to defend our kids and i wish the rest of the teams best of luck this season as i know there are other hard working teams out there...i love the sport not the crap that comes with it..these are young adults who dont need to be critiziedbbut motivated!!

MD - Larry Bird may be the greatest shooter of all time, however his shot was pretty! Ironman92 was pretty spot on. The result of his shot was pretty but not his shot. He cocked it way behind his head, how can we say that is what a shot is supposed to look like?

Bird wasnt a great shooter because of perfect mechanics. He was a great shooter because of Repetition.

I wholehearterly 100% disagree ! it was perfect in form Can you have bad mechanic's and still shoot that great ? I don't think so. MD (aka known as "Bird" back in the day lol)

maybe I guess I don't get hung up on form -- I mean who cares if the form is 100% perfect by the book if the dang ball doesn't go in ? --- George Gervin and Jack Sigma had terrible (unique ??) form but both were solid pro's with long pro career's. So whats important --form ? or the swish ? MD

quite a thread hijack going on nice work MD

MD I do agree with what you are saying now. Result is all that matters. Putting points on the board. I like to see shooters have good form, but good form doesnt mean anything if the ball doesnt go in. It is all about results.
