They have a new coach so a whole different program this year. Also they only lost one player from last year so it should be a good year for them

Fairland won 4 out of 8 against Portmousth, in a scrimmage. Jv won 5 out of 6.

Dragons looked quick and played defense in your face at Gallipolis this evening. Wellston also took part in the Gallipolis scrimmage.

It was pretty even. Fairland beat GAHS twice by one and two points and GAHS won three periods from FHS. GAHS edged Wellston three periods to two.

GAHS reserves were 3-1 against Fairland and Wellston.

Some of the football players just started practice Monday for GAHS. Didn't look that bad.

Gallipolis will play at Oak Hill Tuesday in the Foundation play-in game.

January 13, 2010 Chesapeake-63 Fairland-48
Not 20, but 15 is close enough. Fairland won the 1st quarter 22-10, but only scored 26 the rest of the game. Besides that first quarter, the panthers completely dominated.

February 12, 2010 Chesapeake-67 Fairland-55
Again, Fariland won the first quarter easily, but after that, Chesapeake outscored the Dragons in each quarter. It was a much closer game from what I remember, but 12 points is still pretty good against Fairland. Fairland/Peake games are always close, no matter how good or how bad a team is.

But Fairland was never winning until the 4th quarter in either game. Nice try, though.
