South Webster looking for varsity boys assistant coach

Post by art_vandelay »

Saw in the Portsmouth Daily Times that South Webster is looking for an assistant coach for the boys varsity team. Given the decreased circulation of the Daily Times, I thought it was worth passing the word on here if anyone is interested. Should be decent interest in the position given what Webster has returning from last year's team that finished 18-5 before losing in the D4 District Semis.*

Doesn't the varsity coach select his assistants?

South Webster is overrated and there would be no sense in going there to coach, the only reason they won that many games last yr is because they play in the Soc. You seen what happened to them when they got in the tourney. They are just simply not that good and every1 up that way should get over them.....They will be the 4th best team in there Sec this year behind Mancehster, Fairfield and P-Clay.

greendevils: LOL...yeah, SOC II (Waverly, Oak Hill, Burg, Valley, etc.) is a cakewalk. South Webster won the sectional last year, and beat both Leesburg Fairfield and Clay. Nice post otherwise.

sparky: I would hope that Webster would be able to find someone alot more qualified than me. I like to talk basketball and waste my free time on here, doesn't mean I know the game!*

@ Greendevils#1 I guess we can just throw your application in the trash. Thanks for you humble opinion.

Did any of those schools that GreenDevil listed get transfers? Foreign Exchange Students? I remember that Manchester and Fairfield had some kids coming back---but really? And, if Portsmouth Clay beats us this year then ......... don't even know what to say---those games weren't close last year. Our athleticism is way better than their athleticism and it shows when we match up.

I also believe we will be better this year than we were last year. And, it might not show in the record because last year we won every possible game that we could have. But---I believe we will be a major contender for the district championship.
