The Cadets usually shoot the ball very well in their own gym. I think they have to be considered the favorites in this matchup.

If Miller and Waderker catch fire, it could be a long night for Fort Frye, but if Fort catches fire, then it could be a long night for Belpre. Im going with Belpre in this one

This game will come down to rebounding. Belpre's guards will have to grab the long boards from FF shootin the 3, that could lead to alot of ez layups for Belpre. Always a good game, Belpre hasn't won for a LONG time in Beverly but I believe that's about to change. FF will have to foul late to try to stay in it, if Belpre can make the freebies they win by "7". If you saw any Belpre games last year you would see that Rashawn Miller was easily the third or fourth best player on the team, and third best scorer behind Tate and Sims, now he takes over as the scorer and I saw him score 41 in a freshman game at Vinton County, i know that was a freshman game, but if he catches fire, it could be a long night for Fort Frye. For the first game of the season The Cadets really looked sharp tonight.

They hammered Belpre 64-35.

Fort Frye passing was as sharp as I've ever seen it.

Fort Frye JV's also won their game.

FF owned the Eagles tonight in a game that was not even as close as the score.Belpre got out coached tonight.Belpre ran a zone on a jump shooting team leaving Hilverding,Eddy and Shon Smith open for wide open 3 pointers.Shon Smith has improved a lot and I think he will be the go to guy.

Congrats Cadets, won't steal away a total domination from them, they beat up Belpre in every possible way, from coaching, passing, shooting, defense and even the concession stand. I'd have to agree with EasternDspy and Justlookin,Belpre was totally outmanned tonight by a good Fort Frye team.I also agree that they were outcoached as well.Even my 13 year old grandson said 'why is Belpre playing a 2-3 zone and letting these good shooters have these wide open 3 point shots."I think The Eagles will do a lot better in the Hocking against the league teams that aren't as good as Fort Frye.Lets start Tuesday at South Galia.GO EAGLES!!!!

Belpre's man defense didn't look much better than their 2-3 zone. No effort getting out on the shooters led to all the 3's. Embarrassing loss for the Eagles.
