I think you are missing more than Levi....BRANDON is the point guard from last year.....what is it with you people? Get to a game , meet the players....they deserve to be remembered by their own name.

My bad. But you missed the point about the importance of a leader like Brandon on the court!

Native Warrior, Brandon in my book was a great garbage player. Let me explain! I never thought he had a good shot (too flat). Garbage players do not have to be good shooters. They play hard defense, rebound, and are at the right place at the right time to get their points. They don't have to be a starter. They do all the dirty work with attitude, desire for the team. This years team has two good garbage players. To be named later. Nothing wrong with a good garbage player, every team needs one or two.

I guess I'm wondering how you know there hasn't been anyone to step into that role, if you can't seem to remember Levi is the oldest.... the Seoal thread also had a problem remembering Brandon's name, they thought he played football this year. B5 was a HORSE... He picked up the slack and filled in the places where others left off. Honestly, there are players that will bring something to the table this year that are strong in other areas and may make the B5 style obsolete. Bottom Line is we have several athletes that are very capable of carrying us very far this year each in their own way.. Looking Forward to Getting Better Every Day...

2 good scrimmages Ive heard led by good outside shooting and defense. What I heard that was disturbing was that a senior leader already walked off the floor due to a bad start in the first quarter of a SCRIMMAGE? Well I hope there was a reason but because i wasnt there, I will leave that issue alone. I recall from lastyear that happened but Im sure this will be taken care of or could make for an extremely long year for the coaches.
As for the Warriors, should be a up and down year with possibilities that could see them win around 14 games. Dont see them competing with Chili but maybe a split with Portsmouth? The Cadets will give Warren fits just because of hustle and coaching. Jackson another possibility of a split and even Marietta because of the Den atmosphere.
Team CHEMISTRY will make or break this team, probably going to be the toughest test so far for Coach Maddox to blend this together due to returning seniors. So Warrior Nation, I will be making my courtside appearance soon at the warriordome so until then....

They have made nice runs the last few years. They are playing Divison II not Divison III or Division IV where you can make deeper runs easier because they take more teams from the southeast. I believe they made it to District finals last year.

By the way just how far has any boys team at Warren made it. Has any been to regionals?

No Warren team has made it to the regionals. I still think this years team has a good shot at making it to the regionals. Last years run and the way the LE game ended will help a lot.

Division II basketball in southeastern Ohio is really down. I'm surprise by it but it seems to have been tht way for a couple of years with the exception of a couple team.

Well for one of the few times I got to travel since it was just to Waterford, but Im glad I did.
The Warriors played TEAM basketball this evening! Very impressive to say the least. I think everyone scored except the Proctor boy but he didnt shoot. Leffingwell shot well 2night and the Ward boy hasnt cooled down at all and had an impressive game. The ball movement was better than its been since I last saw the Warriors play last year. Warren also played physical because the Wildcats were provoking them to play that way.
Very interesting with the different lineups placed on the floor but a few times they really worked together well. Very impressed with the Mitchem boy who played great defense and very physical and he deserves my first WARRIOR C C AWARD - DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME. So Should be interesting to see if the TEAM CONCEPT continues, can make the Warriors alot tougher than I would have ever thought. Time will tell.
The JV team looked really well 2night with the new freshman boys playing. They moved the ball well and played well together also. The Panell boy is a good shooter and the Miller boy is very athletic and played well 2night also. Not sure of the freshman names yet but the one boy has a very nice shot and form, I think someone said his name was patton?(not sure).
Looks like the Jv will be good as usual if the Miller boy can stay under control and work the ball around and get Pannell some open looks, Millers shot looks like its finally getting better and Yabbs needs to shoot the ball more. But should be a good year for them.
So cant wait to see this team play again. anyone let me know the schedule?
until then..The sun comes out tomorrow :o

Warrior cc, is that you? Somrthing positive about a Warren team? You keep posting like that there might be a seat on the wagon for you. Warren did play well last night. Leffingwell and Ward have been the most consistant players so far. Just goes to show you NO ONE PLAYER has to carry this team. Someone has a bad night there are other players to pick up the slack(top to bottom). Provoking Warren to play physical was a bad mistake by Waterford. The boys in Blue can hold thier own in that department. Still a little rust but the oil can is full. They will be ready for Megis Say. night. Go Warriors!!!

Cunningham and Venham will lead this team. With the supporting cast back from last year I could see another deep run into the postseason. B. Fivecoait will be missed but there will surely be someone who steps up and takes his place just like he did when he was a junior. Good luck this season Warriors.

I think someone asked about a Christmas Schedule. I don't think there are any games the week of Christmas, the week after there is something Mon. not sure of the time, and Tuesday is Logan at Home. I know that's not much help, but its something.

Ward has been lightin it up from behind the arch. Hes got his shot pat this year and is ganna be a key factor to this team not only when there in need of a three. And yes i believe so Warrior CC that it is Patton that you were talking bout. He is a very good ball player not only cuz of his height. He has a very nice shot on him but i would like to see him get more physical down low like his fellow freshman big man French. Patton should have a pretty good year if he can get meaner down low and get rough. The refs in Jr high called alot more than whats ganna get called this year down low. We'll see how he improves his game over the season.
