Re: SHL Scores and Standings Week #3
I think Peebles is taller all around than Manchester(I'll try to put up some type of roster comparison below)... but Blevins will be the tallest player on the court. As far as speed goes im sure we wont be too bothered by an uptempo game . Its gonna be a crazy game for sure with everything thats riding on these matchups...a lot of intensity on and off the court, the two top teams in the small division playing for the league championship, and a WHOLE lot of bad blood built up from last years meetings.....should be fun to watch.streetballer wrote:cant wait for the manchester-peebles game in the mcdonalds holiday classic tourny..its gonna be crazy but i see hounds winnin due to their height and speed
Tell me if ive messed up these Greyhounds heights but this is going pretty much from memory.
Manchester starting lineup:
PG McKenzie Smith 5'9"
PG Dylan Ricketts 5'9"
SG Travis Combs 6'2"
SG Dalton West 6'
P Blake Blevins 6'7"
Notable Height coming off the bench
P Josh Ross 6'1"
There might be somebody else ive missed
Peebles Starting lineup
Trent Arey 5'10"
Andy Countryman 6'2"
Tyler McFarland 6'1"
Blake Justice 6'3"
Jacob Daniels 6'6"
Height coming off the bench
6'5" Brandon Leedy
6'4" Dylan Rinck
6'1" AJ Chamblin
6'/6'1" Josh Chandler

Re: SHL Scores and Standings Week #3
but with ur point bout height coming off the bench not many of peebles points come from their bench so that might hurt em...manchester gets production from their starters and get good production from their bench..i think the ability of manchesters bench players bein able to score will be the deciding factor in who wins..i predict manchester by 10 or less..not putting peebles down in no way their a good team
Re: SHL Scores and Standings Week #3
I'd take the Indians' second 5 over Manchester's any night.streetballer wrote:but with ur point bout height coming off the bench not many of peebles points come from their bench so that might hurt em...manchester gets production from their starters and get good production from their bench..i think the ability of manchesters bench players bein able to score will be the deciding factor in who wins..i predict manchester by 10 or less..not putting peebles down in no way their a good team

Re: SHL Scores and Standings Week #3
Everyone talks about a teams height or a teams speed. Those are just minor parts of the game. There are other factors too. Teams must keep their heads and not get upset or angry over bad calls. Both teams are to an extent evenly matched. It will all boil down to the mental factor of Baketball. The winner of the game will be the team that keeps their head, works hard all 32 minutes, plays defense, runs their style of ball, and their willingness to win. :12224

Re: SHL Scores and Standings Week #3
Hes talking about our bench. We get a lot of production out of Brandon Leedy, AJ Chamblin, and Dalton Fischer. We probably get close to 15pts per game out of all our bench combined on average(on an average game we usually go 9 or 10 deep)......but everyone is entitled to their own opinion...cant wait for next tuesday.streetballer wrote:u talkin bout manchesters starting 5 or bench...

tribe,
don't most of your bench points come at mop up time after you get a big lead?

Believe it or not they dont. Leedy, Chamblin, and Fischer all play big minutes and do a great job of contributing while their in....whether its the first or fourth qrt. Have you actually seen Peebles play this season?sparky wrote:tribe,

Re: SHL Scores and Standings Week #3
Height is something that gets too much attention especially given the fact that a lot of teams seem to overstate some of their players height. I don't know if it's done on purpose but it is pretty obvious that some of these heights that are listed in programs etc.. is either a bad guess or wishful thinking.spartansneverdie wrote:Everyone talks about a teams height or a teams speed. For the 9th to 12th men on the roster yes. AJ, Brandon, and Dalton play just as much(and contribute just as much) as Josh Ross, Jordan Perry, and Malachi Evans..etc. do for Manchester.streetballer wrote:but most of their bench points come after the game is already out of reach for the other team
