According to Clay's website their game against Western is postponed. Must have been Western that cancelled because Clay was one of the few school that went in today on an hour delay.

If there is in fact a "No school, no play rule" then how are these schools making up those games on Saturday night. I don't think such a rule exist, because I have seen games played on nights that neither team had school, but conditions improved and they played that night.

The state does not have this rule, it is the school districts decision if they want to adopt the "no school, no play". Gallia County Local has this rule.rockyraccoon wrote:If there is in fact a "No school, no play rule" then how are these schools making up those games on Saturday night. Some schools have that rule and some don't. It is up to each district.rockyraccoon wrote:If there is in fact a "No school, no play rule" then how are these schools making up those games on Saturday night. Re: 12/17 Postponed games
Thats what I thought but some posters are saying it's rule everywhere and I know I have been to games last year when both teams were out. I don't think it's a good idea to say "no school, no play" with the weather we get here. we might have an inch of snow in the morning and 50 degrees and dry that afternoon. Then you have to try and work those missed games in at the end of the year, usually in February, when the weather is worse and your trying to prepare for tournaments.
I personally say let them play. Most of these kids that live in hollows have transportation to get around in bad weather. They will be out and about, and the main roads are usually clear by game time.
