How can you say Chesapeake will lose if it is physical or they might not handle the pressure well?
They just beat a team that put the most pressure on them i have ever seen and it was a very physical game so im not sure where u get Chesapeake can't handle pressure and they aren't physical.

And their is no way in heck Ironton's bench is deeper than Chesapeake's. The Murphy kid isn't very good and he starts honestly imo Culbertson should be starting in his spot. Also the Glover kid would never see the floor at Chesapeake. The 2 bench players that see the floor the most for Chesapeake could easily start for ironton in the Murphy kids spot! So that leaves me with im not sure how u think Ironton has a deeper bench?

Ironton has to be considered the underdog in this one to be played at the Peake. The Panthers return three studs from a Final Four qualifier. The Tigers have looked decent at times, but are probably a bit overrated at this point of the season. Some areas of orange-and-black concern include:

1. The bench is not as deep as had been hoped coming into the season. Injuries and personal choices have had an impact.
2. With fewer experienced players, Lafon has not settled into any reliable substitution pattern. Substitutions have been haphazard, making it harder for players to settle into their roles.
3. Sophomores play a lot of minutes. While the sophs are talented, they also are erratic at times on both offense and defense. So the team seems to be looking for a leader on the floor, preferably one of the upperclassmen, to set the example.
4. Ballhandling and turnovers have been an issue. Lafon wants the team to play fast, but too often that has degenerated into out of control, racehorse basketball characterized by poor shot selection.
5. Half court defense needs to improve for the Tigers to seriously compete against highly-disciplined teams like the Panthers.

Even with these shortcomings, the Tigers are 4-1, and a dangerous matchup for most teams in the area. The question for Tiger fans is whether this team will improve as the season progresses like the 2009-2010 team, or stagnate like in 2008-2009. We will know more by February, but Tuesday night should give us some indications.

I wont make a prediction on the outcome. Could go either way. Turnovers will be key. As well as rebounding. Panthers dont do a real good job of hitting the glass and Tigers do. Foul trouble may also play a big factor...who knows. Should be a good game though. I know Chesapeake doesnt have a radio station anymore, will this game be broadcast on the net by an Ironton station????? If so, could an Ironton fan please post the link?

Congrats Chesapeake on the win, good effort from the Tigers.

Congrats to Irontons Zac Carter with a career high 36 Points against one of the top Teams in Southeastern Ohio.

Time for the Tigers to regroup and get ready for their next game.

GO TIGERS...........

WOW! Great prediction by Focused. His hat would not fit after the game.

His 22-14 prognostication was a little off, but the point spread was perfect.
