Actually Maffin plays for Athens and I'd have to say their best player is Skinner. Shoots the 3-ball well and strong inside. Also plays great defense. Sharp is right there also.

No Levi Lawhead? No Adam Ward?
How about Daniel Kline (NY)?
Devon Sharp (Athens)?
No way would I try and give a top 5 ... there are a lot of quality kids playing in the Ohio Division.

Seems to me Nigel Courts (Wellston) might want a place on someones list the way he's scoring.

Boiler, taking nothing away from the Wellston players, I'm sure they're good kids and work very hard. But Wellston hasn't even won a league game this year so it would be pretty hard to put together a legitimate argument that their roster makes up the best in the TVC Ohio.boilermaker wrote:See The Wellston Rockets roster . At VC, I'd give the nod to Adam Ward and Levi Lawhead for two of the better players in the TVC Ohio.

Re: Best players in the T.V.C. (Ohio Div.)
After seeing all the kids play the last two years (and not to dismiss any other players in the Ohio Division because I like a lot of them) - If I had to pick five players to go out and win a game: I would start with Levi Lawhead (Vinton County).
Does than mean he's the best player? The most talented? The most athletic? Maybe not - but I sure would love to have him on my team. He can do a little of everything and appears to be a pretty darn good leader while on the court. He can shoot the three, penetrate into the paint (and has enough athletic ability to shoot over bigs), he passes well - but most importantly - he can play extremly good defense on just about any player besides the opposing teams' center. (unless of course the center is under 6-foot-4 or so.)
Other teams' have scorers, perhaps a good rebounder & some players handle the rock better - but give me the senior floor leader and a kid who plays all out all the time and that's who I want to start a team with.

Only 1 mid-season recruit now, the other changed his mind again and decided not to play after all.

Curious as to which one is playing and which one isn't. Care to share?BB34 wrote:Only 1 mid-season recruit now, the other changed his mind again and decided not to play after all.
