I'd say that's about where mine is listed independent. Not sure on some of the lower seeds 7-10. Definitely Coal Grove at 11. Anybody have SP and RH updated records?

Fed Hock has not beaten anyone in this field YET. They lost to Alex, Belpre, and Nelsonville.

The only reason I had Minford a little higher is because of the wins against Valley and Oak Hill. I really don't know much about South Point and who they have beaten, but those are 2 good wins for Minford.

How does everybody see the Waverly sectional seedings? Just curious.

Lynchburg Clay is playing some good ball right now and will be capable of knocking someone off if they are taken lightly!!!

Fairland's 19 point win over Alex should have locked up the one spot for the Dragons. River Valley had nice win over Meigs should shake up rest of the field. Only thing for certain in Athens is Fairland at the one spot.

Wellstons win over Athens should serve the exact same purpose. They have wins over Vinton County and Athens, Marion Catholic, Eastern Pike and has won 7 out of their last 9 games. They have 9 wins which is 2 more than anyone else in the field. Why are they not the number 2 if Fairland is a sure number 1.
1 Fairland 12-5.
2 Wellston 9-6
3 River Valley 7-9
4 Alexander 6- 10
5 Meigs 7-9.
6 Southeastern 7-9
7 Belpre 5-11
8 Ny. 5-11
9 ZT 4-12
10 Fed Hock 4-13
11 Crooksville 3-13
This is the way I see it with the way the teams are playing with one week left until the drawing

Prepster, Vinton County's record is 12-3, not 12-5. Furthermore, I am not sure I understand your reasoning for having Wellston at the 2 seed, didn't Alexander beat Wellston twice by 27 each time? You even state that Wellston is 1-4 against the sectional field, while Meigs is 5-1, and Alexander is 4-2. Are you giving to much credit to the home, 1 point win against D2 Vinton County? After all, you have wins against D4 Miller, D4 New Boston, unsanctioned Ohio Valley Christian, D4 Beaver Eastern, D4 Marion Catholic, D3 Nelsonville-York, and a home win against D2 Athens.

I saw on WKKJ that Paint Valley lost again last night and are now 9-7. Could be an interesting draw in Waverly - looks like a few teams are logjammed in that 6-9 loss column. How did Huntington and PV fare against each other. Northwest could be the sleeper team here....and never count out the SHL schools

Paint Valley won both meetings, at Huntington by 3 and at Paint Valley by 2.

Huntington should go into the draw at 12-7, PV needs to get 2 wins this week(Western and Southeastern) and they'll get the 3. If they drop one, they could still get it at 10-8, but 11-7 would make it much easier to vote them higher.

Waverly:
Piketon/Peebles #1 or #2, Paint Valley will get #3, Huntington #4, Eastern Brown #5, Northwest #6, Westfall #7, Lynchburg #8, North Adams #9, Adena #10, West Union #11. If Piketon wins this weekend they will be #1 seed.

Hawkeye- Wellston is deserving of the two seed if Fairland is using the fact that they are 12-5 and should be the 1 seed. Wins over d2 VC 12-3 and d2 Athens , Marion Catholic is rated in the top 5 of the Columbus Dispatch Poll, a good Eastern Pike team, and won at NY. Other wins are New Boston, Miller, and Ovc 9-3, Rock Hill. Who has a better resume besides Fairland? Wellston has also won 7 out of their last 9. Wellston has 9 wins. Nobody else has more than 7. The other teams have not played that strong of a schedule. The Alex and Meigs losses were real early in the season. Won 7-9 since. Do you have a team of interest in this Sectional? Why does Wellston getting a 2 seed bother you? Oh that's right! Because it's Wellston. You should probably worry about the D2 Sectional, and quit politicing against Wellston. Those numbers have changed since then also. Meigs has lost 4 straight. Alex has lost 2 straight and so forth.

new athens tourny draw predictions:

(1) Fairland (clear cut)
(2) Wellston (they helped themselves with the athens win and earned some respect.
9 wins is too much for Alex or RV to overcome.)

(3) Alexander(politics keep them in this spot. it probably should go to RV. If they lose to NY
this week they might fall to 6 or 7)

(4) River Valley (playing very well right now.could easily end up with the 3)
(5) Meigs (only because of league votes. if they lose to athens and wellston this week
the freefall continues to the 6 spot but i doubt they go any lower)

(6) Southeastern (this will be interesting because the 3 seed will not want southeastern
to be in this spot. they would much rather see meigs or NY here.
this could work to the advantage of SE and get them the 5 spot)

(7) Nelsonville (could be dangerous. have a few nice players.)
(8) Belpre (they are so injured right now i dont see them being a threat)
(9) Zane Trace (could be dangerous, especially in this sectional)
(10) Fed Hock (no threat)
(11) Crooksville (no threat)

Predictions:

(6)southeastern vs (11) crooksville : Southeastern

(7) Nelsonville vs (10) Fed Hock: Nelsonville

(8) Belpre vs (9) Zane Trace: Zane Trace

(4)River Valley vs (5) Meigs: River valley

(1) Fairland vs (9) Zane Trace: Fairland

(2) Wellston vs (7) Nelsonville: Wellston

(3) Alexander vs (6) Southeastern: Southeastern

Advance to the Convo: Fairland, River Valley, Wellston, Southeastern

Advance to District Finals: Fairland (maybe)
