Re: D3 Southeast Sectional DRAW
Glad to see the other side of the district can see through his tactics.Old Bulldog wrote:Didn't Oak Hill lose to Valley on Friday? Oak Hill has lost to Minford, Northwest and Fairland. Those teams are not basketball power houses this year. Why would they move to a #3 seed? I can't see them any higher than a #4 but politics could always play a roll. By the way OHSAA needs to implement a rule about the # of games you can schedule after the draw so that Norm will quit pushing his tougher games back. Oak Hill probably ends up with two, maybe three, more losses before the tourney even starts. They are that decimated with injuries.independent2012 wrote:Big jumps tonight Oak Hill moves to the three in Jackson,Ironton had a tough schedule but only one really quality win,and that was against Huntington, they lost to all the other good teams they played, and Peebles who is the better team in the Waverly sectional jumps Piketon for sure now with a big win against Ripely, and Piketons loss to V.C.

Re: D3 Southeast Sectional DRAW
I'm sure Southeastern would be ok with a 4/5 matchup with Alexander.
My last Guess:
Athens:
1- Fairland
2- Wellston
3- Southeastern
4- Meigs
5- River Valley
6- Alexander
7- Nelsonville
8- Belpre
9- Crooksville
10- Fed Hock
11- Zane Trace
Jackson
1- Chesapeake
2- Portsmouth
3- Wheelersburg
4- Oak Hill
5- Ironton
6- Valley
7- South Point
8- Minford
9- Rock Hill
10- West
11- Coal Grove
Waverly
1- Peebles
2- Piketon
3- Paint Valley
4- Huntington
5- Eastern Brown
6- Westfall
7- Lynchburg
8- Northwest
9- North Adams
10- Adena
11- West Union
3/4 and 5-9 will be interesting at Waverly, while everything will be interesting at Athens

Re: D3 Southeast Sectional DRAW
I can see Ironton getting bumped to 4 only because who is in there. Normally some teams are interconference don't seed each other to play each other (ex. OH at 4 and Burg at 5) somehow they could split it up. That case doesnt happen too often in the top 5 but in the lower seeds (6-11) you could see alot of SOC 2 vs OVC. Only thing for sure I think is the top 2 in Jackson sectional. Peake 1 and PHS 2. Can't wait to find out the rest.
Also the Athens sectional is so confusing on how teams good vote or look at records that'll be interesting to see when the dust settles as will the top seeds from Waverly.

Re: D3 Southeast Sectional DRAW
D3 is weaker than normal.....maybe not the very top 3-5 teams....but it just doesn't seem nearly as loaded as usual.
The Athens sectional is about as weak as any D3 sectional I can ever remember. Those teams can't help where they are located and it goes in cycles....but why can't the entire D3 SE district be seeded at once in one big sectional with the same number of teams advancing......the 1-4 seeds in Athens might be 5-8 seeds if it were done that way. THe #6 seed at Jackson would be the EASY #1 seed in Athens....that makes tons of sense.

Wow, Coal Grove got the bottom seed! I remember when Ward was interviewed by the Ashland newspaper and he talked about how he was taking over a program that was the doormate of the league.
