Yes, I understand that and your exactly right Etta, theres nothing i can argue with about that and I completely agree with doing local games especially while funds aren't so solid for schools around here but I believe put the money and traveling aside, that just opens a pandora's box of possibilities and arguments..FF can say the same thing, any school can for that matter however I am just stating the obvious about their schedule and the calibur of teams they play...all the schools are dealing with this problem but that in no way, can give a team or the followers of one an excuse to argue how good they are while their schedule is so weak.

Every school in Washington County is in need of serious money some maybe more than others. I would not mind seeing all the Washington County teams play each other I believe they use to not only that it would help with cost. But yet you do have to agree with the fact some schools play each other year in and year out no matter the skill level of the team that year. All the teams can only play the games thats on the schedule and your team just has to go out and get as many wins as they can.

I do agree with that, honestly we are lucky to still have so many athletic programs around the county, and hopefully it stays that way... And yes I agree with the teams playing the same teams every year that's just how it works but it's just immature and dumb to brag up your team when your winning games against weak teams then argue that yours is so much harder than others

Marietta has played weak teams but Fort Frye also has played weak teams you can sit here and argue all day the weak teams the Fort and Etta plays. Not every game is against a tough team unless you are like St Johns Red Storm and play 8 ranked teams in a row. It is good to see teams in Washington County having so much success well mostly Fort Frye Marietta and Warren but its good to see talent in the area.

I just do not get the point of this topic?Anyway FF has a couple young players in Eddy and Shon Smith that just contiue to impress me every game.With Don Hilverding ,Garrett Legrean, and Eddie Watson they match-up very well with Marietta.I wish I could see it play out this season but it won't happen.Marietta just needs to focus on improving and getting that big Warren win and returning to the convo.

Im sorry but Legrean is not meant to be in the paint with Sewell and Williams, he is a great player dont get me wrong but he is more of point-forward instead of a 4 or 5. If Fort Frye had Huck they could matchup a little better with Marietta because then Legrean would be able to play more of the role he is built for.

I am not high on Huck the kid struggled in JV last year.Garrett had a great game scoring vs Warren and Grand Venham.

Grant* Venham is also 6'3. Grant maybe as strong if not stronger than Sewell but Jon blocks more shots because of his superior length.

Legraen had a whole 4 points in the first ff/warren game. That's a great scoring performance...

Hilverding not impressive in the games I've seen him play this year. I wouldn't trade any of the four seniors in River's starting five for him. Lagrean is a nice player, but as I said on this website a month or more ago, he is not a DOMINANT player. I would take him to play the 4 spot on a D-3 or 4 team. Smith and Eddy are going to be good ones and as I said Friday night, they seem to be the difference between FF last year and FF this year. All the other players on FF's team are role players only. This formula is working vs. everybody but Warren, but River is the 2nd best team in the PVC and they are D-4. It's not like FF is being tested alot this year, due to most teams' having down year. (MC only other PVC team with a winning record.)

Obviously, Marietta does not realize that a scrimmage counts just as much as a "regular season" game. I think they just need to face facts here...Shon Smith vs Les Riley, advantage: Shon Smith. Garot Legrains vs John Schewl, advantage: Legrains. Zach Eddie vs Corey Creekbomb, advantage: Eddie.

Obviously, that should say enough right there. Fort Frye in a blowout.

If Marietta expects to win this game they would have to call up some sophmores from their jv team, they need the extra height for this game. I'm a FF fan, so I may not be right about that,but from what I've seen about Marietta, they have some players with great pontinshal, and they are leaving them on the junior vasrity bench.
