I thought both teams played a hard physical game tonight. That by far is the best Marietta TEAM i have seen in a long time. Good luck in the tourny. Maybe we will see each other down the road. NICE GAME!!

The WARRIORS, great WIN!!! Great foul shooting at the END. The BENCH again did their JOB. When you can keep bring fresh bodies into a game like this one it's HUGE!!! Keeping the pressure on and running the floor was the key to this game. Again everybody played their role well. This is going to win you more games. 15-1 bring on THE WHITE OUT!!!!!!!

The REFS., I saw enough fouls on both teams not called, that several players on both teams should of fouled out. Better than the LOGAN game. Thats all I am going to say.

Someone posted, Best JV team in Washington Co. My post tonight.
Well the debate is over now IMO. Warren just beat Mariettas JUNIORS by 20 points. Score 66 to 46. I still don't get it!!!! Branden Riley is going to be a good player, but he was wasted tonight. He only played a little in the 1st and 2nd quarters of the varsity game. I don't think he played at all in the 2nd half, I may be wrong. Point is,he lost 3 quarters of playing time tonight. A good freshmen needs all the playing time you can give him. A quarter or two in the JV game would have been nice, but there were the juniors. Lost playing time for Riley!!!! If you are going to play him up use him, if not, play him on the JV team and let the juniors you only have for one more year set. I don't buy juniors playing on the JV team. IMO

excoach: On the subject of JV team...the Tigers won by about the same margin @ Marietta. This is not a team comprised entirely of jrs. as your post suggests.....there are 3 that play part-time and also dress for varsity. There is also is also a freshman (Wright) on the team, but if you look at the stats 2 of the 3 high point men were sophomores. I do agree with you that Riley should stay on the JV team, as he was earlier in the season, when the Tigers and Warriors played the first game.

Bring on Chili!!!! Great win for my Warriors!!!! I had class at college during the entire game, but my wife texted me each quarter so I could keep in touch with events. (I had it on vibrate) I wanted to yell when the the game ended, but I knew my instructor wouldn't like it too well!!!! Keepit up Warren. I'll be there Friday!!!!

Excoach78: A win at home does not all of the sudden make Warren the best jv team. They and Marietta are evenly matched and if you played 10 games, I would say each team would win 5. Justin Futrell, one of the best players on jv for Marietta is battling mono and strep throat, not making excuses just saying. Braden* Riley is a great player who played jv earlier this year but needs experience at varsity level for next year. I agree he should be playing some jv but I'm not the coach. Marietta jv's took a lot of bad shots and did not take a lot of open looks that they had.

Tiggerfan, your tigers won by 12 or 13 at Marietta, thats history. I am not debating who is the best anymore. I am talking wasted quarters and bring young players a long. I know how many juniors are on the jv team. No disrespect to any player. I am just stating use your young players as much as you can. Thats building your Program for down the road.Thats my opinion. Good Luck the rest of the season.

I'd just like to say something on the Warren fans, mostly the student section. I love that Warren parents/graduates are passionate about their sons/players games, believe me I do. They were loud all night, but the Warren student section was not so. The two times I actually heard the Warren student section were when the WTAP camera was on them and in the very last 30-45 seconds of the game. In the Marietta student section, we were loud all night as we always are. We may not always have the best team every year and we may not have the best program overall, but we do have the best darn student section in Southeast Ohio. Just saying.

I agree with you ohiobaseball25 Marietta's student section always backs the team 110% no matter how good or bad the team is

I also agree that the Tiger student section is the best in the area, but I wish they would have made just a little noise during the JV game as they did when they played in Marietta. I really think that would have helped set the tone for the JV game, which in turn sets the tone for the Varsity.

I cannot disagree that the student section at Marietta is very loud. They are very into the game and supportive of their team. It is unfortunate that some adult adminstrator does not better monitor what they say. Very inappropriate and disrespectful. Would not be happy to have my child chanting the "stuff" that they do. WOW!!!

Couldn't agree more! Moved my family from the Marietta School District when they became of school age for that very reason. I graduated from Marietta and it is a disgrace the way Marietta students act.

if 4 deputy sherriffs and the school principal and vice principal dont count as administration, then who knows what is. they just get into the game, like im sure most people watching that game did.

I was sitting very close to the Marietta student section and the worst I heard was "bull sh*t" @ a bad call. While it's not very nice, it's hardly profanity and if I were an administrator, I would have told them to stop....and maybe he did, because I only heard it in one instance. Speaking of the deputies...what was up with 2 of them standing in front of the Warren student section at the end of the game like they needed protection? There was absolutely NO indication of any trouble. Big, bad cops trying to look intimidating!

Calling out Chilly is not a smart move imo.I first would like to say congrats to you guys on the big win last night, against a quality team, however Chilly is a different calibur ball club than Marietta, your hands will be more than full, even with the loud fans Chilly returns home with a 12pt win and another seoal crown.
