History of Federal Hocking Lancer Basketball

Post by hardwoodheroes »

Since its inception in 1968, Federal Hocking High School has produced great players, great teams, and great memories. From the success of the 1970s to a 1990-91 boys team which averaged 94 points per game, the Lancers are steeped in basketball tradition.

In the third of an exclusive five-part series detailing the histories of each of the five Athens County schools, Hardwood Heroes is proud to bring you some of the history of the Federal Hocking Lancers.

I don't know how Fed Hock can have a TVC Champions banner for the boys program which shows that they won the TVC chanpionship in 1968. There was no TVC basketball championship in 1968. The first season for basketball was in the 68-69 season. They did win the first four championships and shared the title with Belpre and Warren in the fifth year. But there was NO TVC basketball champion in 1968!
