This one will be closer than a lot of people think. I will say Symmes Valley by 5-8 pts.

Good comeback. The Rebels will battle with anyone and I am sure they will give Whiteoak everything they have at the Convo. This will be good experience for an SG squad full of Juniors. Hopefully they will pull out the W.

SOC 1 co-champs got beat by the 7th place team in the TVC Hocking. I think the Hocking schedule really helped the Rebels this year.

Green Bean 20 try showing a little class, it was a hard fought game and SG just wanted it more and made the plays they had to. Your comment is childish and shows your true colors, grow up!!!

GreenBean20. Your first post but you did speak the truth. Has nothing to do with class Emil Blonsky. We got it handed to us in a game we should have won by 10 points. SG controlled the tempo of the game from the very beginning.

Donnie, you did a very good job of keeping us off balance the entire game. Good luck at the convo.

Probably the sloppiest game I have ever sat through. A clearly superior SV team came in to the game grossly unprepared. They looked as if they hadn't practiced in days. They got completely out coached and out played by a very well prepared and scrappy SG team.

Congrats to Coach Saunders and good luck in Athens.

Clearly superior????????????????? These teams played earlier this year on Symmes home floor and the Vikings only won by 2. I would say they are at the very least evenly matched.

I will agree with you on the game being sloppy but SV was in no way "clearly superior" to SG. Like FNF said, the regular season matchup between the two ended up as a 2 point win for SV at home. If your team is superior than mine and we play you at your place, I would expect atleast a 20 point drubbing. I think the SOC was a little weaker than the TVC this year and it showed, the TVC schedule made SG improve throughout the year.

I see it like this. Coach Saunders outcoached your coach days before the game and during the game and the players from SG wanted it just a bit more than the SV kids. The foul with 3.5 seconds left sending one of our top 2 free throw shooters to the line didn't hurt either.

Congrats to the Rebels again. Nobody can take anythign away from them. They won the game when it counted most. High school tourney action is great because an underdog only has to be better 1 game (not the best of 7) so anything can happen.

I have seen both of these teams play several times. Symmes Valley is clearly the better team IMHO. South gallia outworks teams and Symmes Valley has a lot of talented players. I believe Symmes Valley should beat south gallia 8 or so out of 10 games but who cares? South gallia won the game! Symmes Valley got outworked and seemed completely lost from the beginning? Why..only their players and coaches would know?

Good luck to the Rebels in the District tourney!

I could be wrong, but I think Coach Saunders used to coach, Coach Fuller @ SV..
