Seriously!!!!!! Who schedules a play during "Basketball Thirty" time?LOLTigfan wrote:We had a lack of fans due to dress rehearsal for the play this week. This will also affect our crowd this weekend.
Huge difference in reg. season and tourney play like i already mentioned....burg boys will be there to play this time, and give the tigers one heck of a game...Don't expect the same results as 4 weeks ago...OHbuckeye1 wrote:Was Burg not diciplined 4 weeks ago?
I think it will be a good game this time around also. The D wrote:Huge difference in reg. season and tourney play like i already mentioned....burg boys will be there to play this time, and give the tigers one heck of a game...Don't expect the same results as 4 weeks ago...OHbuckeye1 wrote:Was Burg not diciplined 4 weeks ago?
Getting down to crunch time, I think Morton starts in this game after His performance against Wheelersburg in the last game.4th n Goal wrote:Is Morton injured or just not part of the lineup anymore? He didn't get into the game until the middle of the 3rd quarter against Meigs and he was not playing nearly to the level he played when Burg visited Ironton. Carter is definitely a tough matchup for any guard in SEO.OHbuckeye1 wrote:I don't think Wheelersburg matches up well against Carter and Morton IMO.
.......Burg coming into this game with a vengance...off of two insane OT preformances the past couple weeks, peaking at the perfect time, fan factor, tourney experience factor, big game/clutch factor...they're going to be out for blood this game...takes five players to win a ballgame, not one...if the Burg team of the past two games shows up, tigers are going to have a heck of a ballgame on their hands...schoolboy wrote:Its Ironton's game to win or lose. Wheelersburg has no answer for Carter. Don't feel bad, you are not the first nor the last.
I don't see Coach Barrick letting this happen. Both Coaches know how to win at the Convo and this game should be a good one!Debo wrote:See Burg still "glorifying" the W against Peebles. For that reason, predict a slow start from Burg with Ironton capitalizing on it. IMO

I can absolutely see this happening...yabbadabbadoo wrote:Debo wrote:See Burg still "glorifying" the W against Peebles. For that reason, predict a slow start from Burg with Ironton capitalizing on it. IMO
Sure, the fans might still be talking about on here, but you can bet that the Burg was focused on Ironton on the bus ride on the way home. You can bet that the loss at Ironton is still on the Burg's mind and they are well aware of how quick Ironton can score and how fast the game can get away from them. On the other hand, If Ironton goes into this game thinking that just because they blew the Burg out in the regular season that they will do it again, just might be in foir a rude awakening. If it happens, wouldn't be the first time that the Burg has been blown out at the Convo.
Like was said above, both of these teams know what it takes to win at the convo. They both realize that it is one and done. If anyone happened to check out the program, Burg has the best record all-time at the Convo of any team at the Convo this year. THey know what it takes to win and they fully expect to win everytime they step onto a court or a field. I'm sure Irnton has the same mentality and that usually makes for a great game, especially between these two.
Good luck Pirates.
