Tre Underwood has been truly a big part of the Trojans' success this season........he is an absolute beast on the boards, consistently getting 10+ off the glass, and defensively never backs down from anyone........he also makes some very nice assists to Dion from the high post........he took a big charge in the 4th quarter vs. Northwest.

i know you can only play who the state says you play but this has got to be dream draw for the trojans. Cash in on it -- you don't always get so fortunate. if the trojans win 2 more are they down to the final 8 ? I'm a rookie on the brackets in ohio.

I was answering the question that had been asked. We did beat Burg and Ironton i was stating the obvious. But sense your down playing the Trojans we sure would love to have you come out the 16th after we WIN ! (That's me over looking Fairland).

Not counting the Dragons out, but if they beat the Trojans I think it is a close game where someone hits a big shot at the end. I can’t envision a double digit loss, but go ahead and keep on underestimating the Trojans, we are fine with the role of underdogs.

They better play better than they did against south point fairland is really quick and pretty good defensive team.

Trojan fans who are going to the game........make sure you wear Trojan blue for the "Blue Out" at the Convo vs. Fairland........Portsmouth will be wearing their blue uniforms, with Fairland being the home team (seeded #1, PHS seeded #2).

Portsmouth could end a 10 year drought of not winning a district championship with a victory Saturday night.........it would be the Trojans' 7th district title since PHS last won the state in 1988 (1989, 1990, 1991, 1994, 1999, 2001) and the 35th all-time. It would also be Portsmouth's 1st district title as a D3 school........PHS was D3 in 2002, D2 in 2003, and back to D3 in 2004 and have stayed in D3 since.

The winner of this game will be among the final 3 teams alive in SE D3........33 started the tourney, and the regional will feature the final 3 survivors.

The district tournment program lists Portsmouth as having won 39 sectional titles instead of 59........but at the bottom of PHS's resume in the program it lists 59 district semifinal appearances.......in looking at the years listed for Portsmouth having won the sectional, there were a number of years that were not listed in which the Trojans won the district, but not the sectional.........just not possible.
