Jeeps by 10. Fairfield has Cox. I didn't see much else in there.

The reason you didn't see anything else there is because no one else needed to step up. Cox had the size advantage, why fiddle around with guard play when your post player is 5 inches taller than any player on the opposing team? I believe Fairfield can use 4 different players for scoring close to double digits every game if they have to do it.

All you hear about is Cox this and Cox that but my question is (because I wasnt there) how is Fairfield playing on the defensive end? I think this will have more impact on winning/losing this game than the offensive end. Did Fairfield make the big stops and prove they have the patience and discipline to play good half court defense? Did they play man or zone (or press) against Eastern?

Have not seen Fairfield play this year but I will say if they can make lay ups and play one on one defense this game will go down to the wire. The Jeeps have played better offensively the second half of the season but their defense has struggled...may be because of tired legs due to their lack of quality depth.

The Jeeps handled Eastern Pike but the Eagles were able to get into the paint when they wanted just did'nt have the players to finish around the rim. Give SW length credit for some of that.

I feel like the Jeeps will pull out the win for their 5th District Championship in 7 years but will have trouble if Fairfield makes shots and can keep the Point Guard Scott for SW in front and on the left side of the floor and also chase the Small Foward Loop off the 3 pt line.

I second that brother. Eagles can fly but Lions are fast and tough. If Loop is at say 94.5% then it's to close to call.

Entering Sectional Play there were 19 teams from 4 conferences and 1 independent (st. joe)

8---SOC1
6---TVC Hocking
3---SHL
1---SOC2
1---Independent

Who is left? 3 SHL vs 1 SOC2---pretty easy to see strengths of leagues this year.
