Re: 101 Years of Portsmouth Trojans Basketball
Coach "Sub" only lost 11 games in 4 years..!!
This is the mindset and direction Portsmouth Basketball could be headed again!!
It is not easy, takes a great deal of effort and hard work from all levels, but IS potentially possible...

Re: 101 Years of Portsmouth Trojans Basketball
osnn: Good work........let's all hope that the 7 losing seasons in a row from 2003-2009 will NEVER be seen again.
Moses Guthrie is right about getting the mindset of winning back to Portsmouth basketball.......this past year was a HUGE step toward making PHS basketball a "program" again.......with the kids we have coming up from the junior high to freshmen, we should field good teams for the next 5 years at least.

Re: 101 Years of Portsmouth Trojans Basketball
According to the records that I compiled from 1916--2010, Portsmouth won 1,274 games and lost 697, good for 12th place all-time in Ohio High School Basketball History........but with osnn's updated figures, the total of 1,334 wins puts the Trojans in 11th place all-time, just behind Strasburg's 1,339 and ahead of Steubenville's 1,297 (updated 2010).
