SOC Central 2011-12
Re: SOC Central 2011-12
Huge game at Notre Dame Friday as the Eastern Eagles come to town. Lots hanging on this game as the league title is in the balance.

Re: SOC Central 2011-12
^This is true. It's a big week in SOC hoops with Valley taking Round I of the SOC II's Big Boys Battle. Now the SOC I's top two are set to tangle again. Since the first game, I've said Notre Dame would even the score with Eastern when the Eagles traveled to Portsmouth. But I've also not waffled on my pick of Eastern to win the SOC I. Looks like I'm a winner either way. 8)
Valley and Waverly are both looking at tough contests that should be interesting -- very interesting if either team has a letdown following Tuesday's clash. It took Valley two OTs to beat Minford in their first battle in Lucasville. Waverly gets a visit from a Burg team that took them to OT in their first meeting, and finally got into the SOC II win column on Tuesday.
Welcome to the second half of the conference schedule!

X-factor must be working too hard!
Sorry for the delay, but everything (sans the standings) is updated for all things prior to tonight. I'm adding tonight's results to the composite schedule as I get them and will hopefully have the standings done late tonight after all scores are in. Here's where I am tonight:
February 3, 2012
Clay 43 at Green 50
East 55 at Eastern 64
Minford 51 at Wheelersburg 44
Northwest 46 at West 56
South Webster 49 at Waverly 67
Symmes Valley 67 at New Boston 69
Valley 66 at Oak Hill 50
Western 34 at Notre Dame 67

I know West beat Northwest, but I can't remember the final. It was 58-46 or 56-46, I think.

Re: SOC Central 2011-12
Jesco, I got 69-50 from the first final score post in tonight's scores thread but now see the Valley-Oak Hill thread and will make the adjustment. Thanks for the West update and thanks to Eaglesnest for that score!

Re: SOC Central 2011-12
Thanks, Jesco. Glad someone's getting some use out of this thread. It's probably a little more useful now that the schedule and standings are FINALLY UPDATED AGAIN!!! :aaaaa57
Eaglesnest is right on with his Eagles' standing. If the standings hold, Feb. 11 will show whether we have split champions or one team on top at season's end in the SOC I.
The weird thing from the update: I'm not on for two weeks and the only changes up and down the standings were Burg and West switching places in the SOC II and Green moving out of the SOC I cellar. Surprising considering the fluctuation in the mid- to lower-level of both conferences. Many of the teams that started strong have really slowed down and vice versa.
