B-4 the game there is a fish fry at L J's just accross the 328 overpass and you can enjoy pizza and a cold drink at the Pizza Crossing.

Hole 18 at Big Beaver, he's the only guy I know that can clear the water from the pro tees. If you've never played there you have to have about 250-260 on the fly to clear the water. Even good players lay up on that hole

I think what OSU is saying is that Africentric is a sports program disguised as a school. They play - at least I think they still do - in the Columbus league with a bunch of Div II and Div I schools and play at a much faster pace and against way better competition than can be found in rural Div IV schools.
I hope Eastern wins but they will be in a fight like they have never seen in the SOC I.

"Columbus Africentric Early College (CAEC) Baba William McKinney – Girl’s Basketball Coach. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Baba McKinney completed his undergrad work at Central State University (1995), and obtained his masters from Ashland University (2003).

In 2001, Baba McKinney started the Lady Nubians basketball program. The Lady Nubians overall record is 174-38, along with having won five (5) City League titles, six (6) Division titles, seven (7) District titles, three (3) Regional titles, and two (2) State Championships. In addition, 90% of the Lady Nubians have gone on to play collegiate basketball at all division levels"

This little clip was taken off of their schools website. While this is girls the write up is talking about, it shows how quickly this school has become successful in girls basketball. An overall record of 174-38 in 11 years while playing in the Columbus league. 7 District titles, 3 Regional titles, and 2 state championships in 11 years~!

The boys program has been stipped of several titles themselves, and are just as successful.

Africentric is basically a private school, geared towards African teachings, that have to stay low in numbers because the school they use wont allow them to have large classes.

It is a sham, nothing more, nothing less. It tweaks and manipulates the rules of the ohsaa and laughs all the way to a state championship in basketball.

They are a private school, funded PUBLICLY! This goes against the Ohio constitution, but who cares about that right. It is just like the Wherle of old, a good academic school, but uses the rules and bends them for their own gain.

i agree.. they have no buisness in the tournament under a public school... i have watched both these teams play ball this year. there is no way shape or form eastern will match up with these kids.. id love to see them win it but i seriously doubt it. i do however think eastern can keep it closer then most think... good luck to the eagles though.. im still rooting for the soc team for sure!!! if they can keep it within 20 it will be an admirable showing!
