MERRY CHRISTMAS! to Pfloyd and his family. I hope that you are released soon from the
James to begin this round of recovery time. Good news with the last scan and knowing that
so many people are supporting you and care has to help those spirits.

... Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and yours as well frog along with all of the SEOPs nation ... I was released from the James on Christmas day ... tough stay this past round - it seems the treatments themselves are more difficult but my recovery time at home is faster ... my guess is that my body has adjusted to the IL-2 so the recovery is better BUT while doing the treatments? the side effects are more severe - this is why the treatments are inpatient so that the side effects are dealt with immediately ... just hard on an already beat up body LOL ...

... next round - round 4 - is scheduled for Jan 10th ... this will be followed by a recovery period THEN another CT scan in late January ... bottom line - I'm feeling good, looking forward to getting Rd 4 in the books with the outcome being continued positive improvement ... this year the "Road to the Convo" has multiple meanings as I TOO am playing to get to the Convo and beyond ...

... heading back to OSU for Round 4 of the IL-2 treatments Thursday morning ... have had a good recovery after the 3rd round - was able to go to 4 basketball games! just watched the Warren @ Athens game last night from the Cheap Seats of McAfee gymnasium - great high school game ... sure felt good getting out and watching some high school hoops ...for Rd 4 the goal is to get through all 12 treatments before my next CT scan in couple of weeks after this last round is completed - the hopes are that the IL-2 has continued to do it's "stuff" allowing my immune system to fight the cancer, reducing the size of the lesions, with the hope that some of the lesions are completely gone ... we will see it's all in the hands of the "Head Coach" ... looking forward to getting back home/having another good recovery period so I can again get out on the road across Southern/Southeast Ohio to see more high school basketball - that's my goal and I'm sticking to it :122245

... as most of you can tell from my posts on the hoops page I'm doing okay! been out of OSU for 5 days now, recovery is going well, I sucked it up last night and drove to Athens to watch Athens vs Vinton County - loved it! felt good to be at a game ... ANY game LOL ... I will be in recovery mode thru Jan. 29th - I have my next CT scan and a brain MRI scheduled at that time in Columbus ... hoping that the positive results of my last CT scan continue, I AM HOPING that the results show that the IL-2 is well established in my immune system, that the docs feel that I don't need to continue the treatments - THAT would be the best of results ... good results would have me continuing the IL-2 treatments which would have round #5 starting on Jan 31st ... I'm being positive THAT I will be done with the treatments, I can continue to FEEL healthy, I can get back to work ... lots of prayers/positive thoughts heading up to the "head coach" between now and Jan 29th ...

... almost showtime for the scans at the James ... been making plans with the positive thoughts that the scans will show I don't need to continue with the IL-2 treatments ... I have endured 33 treatments/side effects ... 36 days/nights in the hospital since Nov 5th - I'm ready to move on with life ... praying for great scan results tomorrow - I'm more than ready to get back to having control over my life ... health/family/hoops/work ... I hope to have great results to report tomorrow evening or Wednesday ...

... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! I'm off my treatments for the next 3 months ! - got up this morning, bags packed, got to the James , had my blood draw, port accessed (the first time it has worked as advertised since it was put in in October), met with my oncology team ... it was decided that my scans from earlier this week showed positive results, stable results, doc said she felt comfortable doing observation for the next 3 months - no IL-2 treatments!!! I will have CT scans done again in late April ... no drugs, no treatments for 3 months!!! I get a chance to feel healthy for the first time in 2 years !!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

... I can go back to work Feb 11th, I can go to ALL OF THE BASKETBALL GAMES I CAN GET TO !!!!!!!!! - Chesapeake Friday , Nelsonville York Saturday - ALL IS WELL for the next 3 months ... thank you all for the support SEOPs has given me for the last 2 years, keep the prayers/positive thoughts coming - the HEAD COACH is smiling on me ... I feel so good ...

... I had a GREAT week at work ! tired at the end of every day this last week BUT it was that I was "tired" and not "fatigued" ... there is/has been a difference in the two ... for two years I have been "fatigued" seemingly everyday due to the various treatments I have undergone ... I have been physically tired this past week, wore out from doing my job ... when you are physically tired you can sit/get off your feet and recover, you can get your energy back while when you are fatigued you felt like you never had the energy to start with - ever , the feeling of having energy to start with was never there - when I worked with fatigued I had to "work through it"/work "despite" not having the energy to do it , I had to dig deep inside to do my job so others wouldn't "see" how much the treatments effected me ... EVERYDAY this last week I HAD the energy levels to start the day, the energy to be "ME" was there EVERY day , It was/is such a great feeling - to have the energy already there to draw upon to do things - I am loving it !!!! ...
