Wow, that is pretty bad just to throw out if it is not true. Where did you hear 5 games? That is what Aldridge got his senior year. Still, do you have any evidence toward this or is it all hearsay? I know he played at Ironton the other night, but that's a scrimmage.m

Yes, perhaps you would enjoy a Big Green one.

Since the posts ripping me were removed (didn't ask for it but thanks mods regardless) I'll edit this post.

Should be a heck of a year in this division.

From Minford, it's McBee and McCray, and yes rumors need to stay off this site. Falcons should have a very good season.

Even though the talent level in SOC has dropped off a lot, this SOC season should still be a fun one. Probably will be one of the more competitive seasons this conference has seen. You could have valid arguments for about 5 teams to actually win SOC this year. should be a good'n

i keep seeing people say valley lost to much and are down and will finish last in the soc. is this basketball season or did i step into a time machine and go back to the start of football season. people really need to stop doubting valley they are going to be good in both sports for many years.

I thought Valley looked pretty good last night considering they were 9 days away from the football field. The Indians had 12 kids playing varsity last night and not a single one of them didn't play football. Valley is going to be fairly deep this season and while they are slightly smaller than last season, they are actually longer and possibly more athletic. If the Indians are able to regain their shooting touch soon, I believe they will be right in the mix all season long.

Valley has trips to Ironton and Minford, visits from Piketon and Wheelersburg, and a game with Hillsboro all in the first 18 days of the season. That is a tough early slate, but we should have a good read on VHS by Christmas.

12/01 Valley vs. Hillsboro, 6 p.m. (Zane Trace Tip-Off Classic)
12/04 Valley at Ironton
12/07 Valley at Minford
12/11 Piketon at Valley
12/14 Valley at Northwest
12/18 Wheelersburg at Valley

Thats a tough start no doubt.

Post of the year!

If Valley finishes last in the league, I will never post here again.

Looks like I dodged a bullet....

As of tonight we are half way through league play. Here are the current standings:

1. Valley 6-1 (11-3)
2. Minford 5-2 (10-2)
2. Oak Hill 5-2 (10-2)
4. South Webster 4-3 (8-5)
5. Wheelersburg 3-4 (6-6)
5. Waverly 3-4 (5-9)
7. West 2-5 (6-6)
8. Northwest 0-7 (1-10)

Obviously, the Minford-Valley game on Friday is a huge one, but the advantage at the midway point has to go to the Indians. Valley is a game up and has 5 home games the second time through. That said, there are is really only one night off in this league and teams 4-7 will have a big say in who ends up with the title. Should be a great finish to the SOC race.

Very big game Friday night with the match up of Minford and Valley! I think Minford will be prepared and ready to play! It's always a great match up between the Falcons and the Indians, which makes for very exciting games! The SOC is definitely still up for grabs!

GO FALCONS!

With Swords out I see Webster staying in 4th now after seeing them give Valley a heck of game last week

Wonder why no one wanted to post on this after the bump? There is some good reading on this topic.

Dunn and West made my top 5-7 in the league statement look pretty solid with 27 and 31 respectively last night.
