Wellston has a tough loss by one. Played a very poor game all around. There are alot of chemistry problems. The way it looks from the stands there is bad communication and alot of selfish basketball. I think the biggest problem starts at the point Dakota brown. Seems to be he finds it hard being out scored and doesn't like to share. The biggest player on the court justus ousley does not get touches and it looks like brown doesn't want the ball in his hands. Ervin plays a good role on the wing but needs to make better passes way to many turnovers. Could be a really
Good team if they would stop worrying about stats and start worrying about winning.

The Rockets are all over the place.....either that or Athens isn't nearly as good as anticipated. Really surprised they lost to Rock Hill. Wellston has quickness, shooting, rebounding. As for Brown (which no kid should be negatively labeled on here)...he's a very quick guard that can play on both ends of the floor. In the game I watched he wasn't concerned one bit about his scoring column....and when they needed him he hit the shots. Between Ousley, Smith and Davis they should out rebound almost all of their contests.

That may be the craziest thing I've heard all year. Dakota Brown being selfish! Wow...Rockets141 wrote:Wellston has a tough loss by one. Played a very poor game all around. I agree huthuthike that is a ridiculous statement!! I see to many passes by Brown that other players are not ready for or are to hard for them to catch because he passes the ball to hard lol! He hustles on both ends of the floor and makes things happen. There is problems on this team but, every team has problems its just how you get them worked out! And that will determine whether you are a good team or not! Wellston was up for the Athens Game! and they were not for the Rock Hill Game, until the fourth quarter and that was a little bit too late! Wellston has a few players that need to run the floor always and live in the paint! Wellston is bigger than any other team and should never get out rebounded! The Smith kid does very well at both ends of the floor and hustles and works hard also! And remember they are young men that represent a community and should have community support. Good luck Rockets! stick together as a team and good thing will happen.huthuthike wrote:That may be the craziest thing I've heard all year. Dakota Brown being selfish! The problem is the effort isn't always there for the rockets. They played slow, on offense and defense and didn't communicate well either. Also not so sure they ever get in trouble for anything, never heard them getting yelled at or corrected at all from the bench. If a team isn't giving at least 100%, sometimes you have to rip them on the sideline to let them know to pick it up. The PG play isn't really selfish, the problem is they didn't push the ball really all night, and they don't pass ahead. I saw brown make some very nice passes last night, and I can assure you he is not a selfish player, just not a true point guard. But he has done a very nice job so far this year.
