I don't know I92 ... Athens and NY split last year ... big rivalry games are rarely settled by double-digit wins.Ironman92 wrote:Athens by 11
NY can go 8 or 9 deep and is very athletic, they are quick on the perimeter and have the ability to shoot the lights out ... the 'Bucks have scored 85 points twice this season. Once in a win over Federal Hocking (6-3) - and they did again versus Miller, who I think is a descent team. AND IT'S AT BEN WAGNER GYMNASIUM.

If NY shoots well, they can beat them at home. One concern is the major size advantage Athens has. If Athens pounds and NY if off, the dogs will win. No matter, it will be tight.

I really do feel that Athens wins this one by 20 and I don't care if it's at Nelsonville. Way to much talent for the dogs. Good luck to both teams.

man, the Buckeyes might be the most disrespected (6-2) team in southeastern Ohio.

Use the eye test. Athens is top 5 team in seo with burrow(knee) and leuhram(back) hurt. Makes Ibby score and he is by far the best player in the tvc as a freshmen. Athens only by 10. Second game will be a blow out93Bulldog wrote:man, the Buckeyes might be the most disrespected (6-2) team in southeastern Ohio.

The 'eye test' says Athens lost to Wellston at home ... the same Wellston team Nelsonville-York handled in Wellston.
not that many games will be easy in the TVC-Ohio ... its already been proven during the month of December.

bulldog is just being respectful and not trying to sever ties to NY or give bulletin board material knowing the significance of this game.
I'll check my private messages.....bulldog probably has a message to me saying the bulldogs by as many as they want but is smart enough not to put it on here.

No P.M. from me I92 ... I have the luxury of watching every Buckeyes game on Nelsonville T.V. cable ... they are a darn good basketball team and their record shows it.

I think Athens takes the night 3-0, the varsity game should be a great one. This will really show if NY is as good as their record shows. Athens varsity by 4, JV and fresh by 20 or so. I predict the halftime score to be very tight, maybe even an NY lead..
Re: 1/4 - Athens (6-1) @ Nelsonville-York (6-2)
Anyone have the score for the 9th grade game? I know Athens had 49.
