Re: West @ Valley
West is playing some solid basketball. If Valley takes them lightly they could lose this one.
I wil ltake the Indians by 10

Re: West @ Valley
... Portsmouth West has been one of my "surprise" - pleasant surprises - teams of the 2012-13 hoops campaign ... the Senators have played everyone tough losing to Coal Grove by 4 (57-61), Oak Hill by 4 (60-64) and Wheelersburg by 5 (50-55) ... Valley will need to bring their "A" game vs West tonight - imo the Indians should come away with the "W" but if the Senators play by their season's script they will make sure Valley "earns" the win ... look forward to reading the post game info on this one - I'm traveling to Huntington HS Saturday to see Valley take on the Huntsmen so the Friday game with West should more than prep the Indians for the game with HHS ...

Re: West @ Valley
If this was at West,I think the Senators would have a shot at the upset, but tonight I think Valley takes care of business at home 68-54.

Re: West @ Valley
Outstanding game by both teams. Great atmosphere. It was rocking. The officials were horrible for both schools. Sorry guys they are adults have to say it. West played their hearts out and Valley was surprised. Valley has a good inside game an that was the difference in the game. Glad to see big Hafer get the huge dunk!!! Worth the price of admission...

Re: West @ Valley
Tonight was not Valley's night. West shot very well from the 3 point line but at the end Valley just barely had enough to prevent the upset.

Re: West @ Valley
I would have to say both teams shot well. 78-76 for a high school game??? That's some points!!!
Re: West @ Valley
very good game last night .....west much improved all the way around and what a outstanding dunk by the hafer boy ...one step off two feet two handed ....very nice game all around by him ...and 13 3's nothing to sneeze at ....both teams played well enough to win......I think valley will be spending some time practicing free throws though 15 of 27 not gonna get it done through rest of season
Re: West @ Valley
I was able to listen to this game last night and it was a very entertaining game. It seemed as if the Siders didn't miss and the Indians created turnovers and controlled the offensive glass. West hit 13 three pointers and most of Valley's buckets came on 2nd or 3rd shots. If West could have rebounded Valley would have been in serious trouble. As it was Valley should have put the game away but the couldn't hit their free throws and they left the door open for West. Give the kids from West credit for playing until the final buzzer. This is a team that will start winning these close games and if they shoot like they did last night, they can play with anyone. Still a good win for Valley who just find a way to win these close SOC games. Coach Rolfe and staff always seem well prepared and a step ahead to go along with a deep roster.

Very impressed with West ,gave Valley fits dialing up the long ball ! West will have a say in who wins the conference look for them to knock off some front runners !
