Waverly @ Oak Hill Score???
I'll assume Waverly got 8 manned tonight since nothing has been reported
Re: Waverly @ Oak Hill Score???
Just got home, very ugly loss for the Tigers. Could not generate any offense, missed a ton of shots.
Tigers lead by 4 with under a minute left in the first half but the Oaks scored 4 unanswered to make 20-20 at the break. Oak Hill took a 1 point lead into the 4th period at 28-27. Neither team scored until under the 5:00 mark of the final frame by Oak Hill extended their lead to 32-27 before Heibel answered with a bucket with 3:01 to play to make it 32-29 and the Tigers called timeout. Oak Hill scored with 2:04 to play to make it 34-29, Waverly worked the ball around and called timeout with 1:14 to play. Hart came out of the timeout and hit a 3 wit .58 to play, cutting the Tiger deficit to 2 at 34-32 and a Waverly timeout. Coming out of the timeout the Tigers had the Oaks #10 trapped in the back court and close to a 10 second violation but committed a foul with .49 to play. Both FT's were good putting the Oaks up 4 at 36-32. Heibel answered for the Tigers with a driving bucket with .40 to play, pulling the Tigers back within 2 at 36-34. The Tigers fouled #32 with .30 to play, making 1 of 2. The Tigers missed a shot with .14 to play and fouled #32 again with .12 to play. Both FT's were good extending the Oaks lead to 5 at 39-34. The Tigers turned it over and fouled #11 with .4 to play. He hit 1 of 2 for the final score.
Very winnable game for the Tigers on the road but they cannot seem to find the bucket away from the jungle.
Would loved to have seen them pull this one out. Makes the game at South Webster Friday even more important. Tigers have to figure out how to put it together on the road.
