How can you think Nixon will be so good coming off an ACL tear and missing last year?

6. Tyler Starr Trail
7. Brown MC

You don't lose any athletiscm by not playing playing last year. He is still the most athletic player in the league

You can be athletic and still not be very good at basketball.

No way is Nixon a better athlete then Lang.. If this Nixon boy is so talented why is he going to be a Sr with no varsity experience? Let him do something on the court before you guys anoint him King. There is a reason Chandlet has been a key part of FF winning the PVC in Football, Basketball , and Baseball.

I don't get what you mean by a senior with no varsity experience. He started varsity his sophomore year and averaged around 10 a game. Then he missed his junior year due to injury.

Well I can't wait to see it. Last yr everyone said that River would crush everyone yet they can not even win the PVC.

Pretty simple, Trail FF and MC with Caldwell a close 4th behind them. Frontier, Shenandoah, and River at the bottom

I've seen all of these teams coaching an M.V.L. team that competes in the eastern district and having my brother coaching in your league. I also coordinate a lot of O.Y.B. spring tournaments, or AAU as many call it though it actually isn't sanctioned AAU. Based on what I've seen of these teams and players over the last couple of years and this spring I will give you my thoughts. First, your league was very good last year and I think your top four will be very good again this year. Second, I'd say that you can't really distinguish which of the four will move to the front, they appear to be pretty even.

Individual player wise, I've seen Wiechman, Clark, Brown, Jorris, Starr, and Toland all play this spring. Wiechman is hands down the best player of that group and it isn't even close. I'd place Toland next, then Starr an Clark are a wash. Jorris and Brown are nice players but not as good as those four, IMO. I haven't seen the Nixon boy play but my brother says he thought he would have been their best player last season if not for his injury so he must be solid. I really like both of the Fort Frye players, I think they both are right there with WIechman, Toland, and apparently Nixon as the best players in the league. It seems all four of these teams have two quality players at least, it looks like the supporting cast is what will make the difference. I think you all will enjoy watching these teams compete next winter. Good luck to all of them over the summer and next season.

I just want to say that though I understand they are unproven at the varsity level the FF young players are better then people give them credit. Carter Kiefer was scoring over 20 ppg in JV in 3 qts. Devin Brooker made more threes then any player in the league at the Jv level. Derek Layton is a banger with a great outside shot. Logan Madison looks to still be growing at 6-4 and has a nice touch at the foul line. Klinger is scrappy and has great handle and D has to work on his shot. Finally freshman Justin Anderson a born scorer he scored over 40 twice in jr high and I believe this summer he will be giving a shot to earn a spot on varsity.

Watched Nixon kid play at open gym pick up games a couple weeks back and to be honost it looks like he is healthy if not better than he was before injury. I'm gonna have to agree with buckfarnesville14 on this one. Noles should be top contender fighting with FF and Trail.

I guess we won't know whats going to happen for several months. My list for leagues best players would be:
1. Wiechman-most proven, two time mention as an All-Ohio player and nearly 1000 career points
2. Lang-proven defender and will score points this winter without Smith
3. Toland-leagues best true big man, will have a big season
4. LaGrean-toughest match up in the league
5. Nixon-hopefully his knee is healed and he has a healthy senior season, perhaps the best athlete in the league
6. T. Starr-one of the leagues top two shooters
7. T. Clark-best sophomore in the league next season, was best freshman last winter
8. L. Starr-solid player, hopefully healthy
9. Brown-really good defender
10. Harding-one of the leagues top two shooters
11. Jorris-third best shooter in the league
12. Gray-does all of the dirty work
13. Kiefer-very good, will challenge Clark as best sophomore
14. Baker-heard he has really improved since the season ended
15. Schnieder-decent player, might get passed by one of his younger teammates

*I don't think any team in the league is going to be really deep. Caldwell might play 8 this year and Fort will probably be a little deeper than last year. Monroe had a good jv team, they might have more depth than I think they will.

You are obviously this kids dad when no one else gives him any credit of being in the top 10, let alone top 20.

We are all entitled to our own opinion. That is just mine, if you don't think so than that is your choice.

I will say that you are obviously a Monroe county resident based on your love for all things Seminole. Not surprised though, you guys are all related, ball games are family reunions, no wonder you all are so close and protective of one another.

An to clarify, no I am not related to the player you claim I am.

I would love to see any of these kids line up and shoot 10 threes vs Devin Brooker the kid drains. He has to work on everything else like defense and dribbling.
