Did you watch FF play? Chan scored 18 in 2nd half to beat your mighty Noles. Chandler avg 10 a game and guarded the other teams best player and shot over 50 %. Seth Legrean avg 15 a game as soph and was unstoppable in the a Ferry game.

I see how you are spy, Smitty was the best thing ever the last 2 years and now that he's gone he didn't do nothing last year to hear you say it.

He was a great player but he forced shots and he shot so much making a ton. Other players such as Lang and Legrean cod of scored more if given more shots. They play Pburg Catholic at Willianstown thurs if you want to check them out.

Findlay team camp results:
Caldwell 8-2 Silver bracket (small school) tourny champs
vs. Rootstown 42-24 win
vs. Fairfield, Indiana 37-33 loss (led by 14)
vs. Fostoria 59-31 win
vs. Benjamin Logan 24-20 loss (missed 13 free throws)
vs. Tallmadge 29-28
vs. Grass Lake, Michigan 62-18 win
vs. Upper Sandusky 33-27 win
Tourny:
vs. Toledo Ottawa Hills 32-20 win (they sat in a 2-3 zone with a 6'10 kid going to Valpo)
vs. Upper Sandusky 53-51 triple overtime win
vs. Hillsboro 36-31 ot win
Played very well, lost Figel for a large portion to an ankle injury. Lost Clark in the tournament. Really toughed it out. Great camp with really solid competition. Would recommend it to any coach looking for a camp. There were great teams there, Lima central Catholic, Olentangy liberty among others. Excellent facilities and extremely well ran. Eastern Ohio and OU don't compare. Games were two 17 minute running clock halves the first day, one 25 minute half in the morning the second day. The tourny went back to the first day set up. Get some kids healed up and on to our shoot out Saturday.

Re: Pioneer Valley 13-14
WOW, some real crazy B Ball talk going on for June...lol
I will just make a couple quick comments on recent posts...
1. Brown is a VERY SOLID DEFENDER...as far as who's best in the league??? Who really cares?
2. Jorris got good experience last year as a sophomore and I expect he will improve more as a junior, his size and strength makes it harder for him but he will do well this season.
As far as the leagues best shooter...once again who really cares.

Glad to hear Caldwell is playing well.
Coach Crane does a great job of player development and coaching to the strengths of his players. I would like to get a chance to watch Caldwell this season and it will probably be when they play Buckeye Trail.

Summer stuff is fun for the kids, a chance to get them out an play some different people and work on their individual games. You never know if teams have everyone there with so much going on but they seem to enjoy it. The camps are a chance for them to have some fun but they are a grind with so much ball in a short amount of time. I know these sites get a lot of trash talk an obviously are opinion based, but people in our league really support basketball and the kids play really hard for every school in the league and you don't see that everywhere.

Fort Frye went 24-7 in a basketball marathon at Eastern basketball camp but they did lose to Steubenville in the tourney. Last night they went 6-0 in Williamstown city league beating Parkersburg Catholic 62-30 in a game they lead 50-14 at halftime.

Re: Pioneer Valley 13-14
Shon was a really good player, I wish him luck in college. It sounds like Fort Frye, Monroe and Caldwell have all had really good summers. What is the story with Trail? I was told they didn't do anything all summer. Why? I think they will be good next winter.
Caldwell is winning and playing well this summer, the only thing I wasn't sure about was starting the Carpenter kid after he missed all of last season with a broken hand he suffered punching a wall. He is a really good athlete but doesn't have it mentally most of the time. Watching them this summer he was good when he was calm and hurt the team when he was mad at himself. Coach seemed to pull him pretty quick and sit him when he got that way though. We were starting Wiechman, Clark, Carpenter, Figel, and Baker. They brought Harding, Leasure, Heller, and Cubas off the bench. Team looks to be pretty deep this year and are much bigger and stronger. The weight room appears to be paying off for them. Hopefully they keep getting better. So far this month they went undefeated at the Denison shoot out, won the tournament at the FIndlay team camp and were undefeated until the championship of their own shoot out. I think the boys are something like 11-1 in the summer league with the only loss coming when Wiechman didn't play. Hopefully it translates to the season, but it's Caldwell so I won't get to hopeful just yet.

Re: Pioneer Valley 13-14
Fort Frye finished up the Williamstown City League going 11-0 beating St Marys by 10 in the title game. They beat Ravenswood, Catholic , and St Marys in the tourney.
Re: Pioneer Valley 13-14
Fort Frye should be very solid this year. But cmon, Parksbrg Cath had to be missing players, watched them last year and they WOULD NOT get drubbed by Fort . That would be a fun regular season game this year !!! Ullman vs. Lang in the open court would be sweet Should be a fun race to see in the PVC.
Re: Pioneer Valley 13-14
Monroe finished I believe 12-1 in the St Clairsville summer league. They won the tournement beating Magnolia in the championship by 1.
Re: Pioneer Valley 13-14
I can't wait to see the boys on the hardwood this winter. Not only will Monroe win the league in football, but they will do it in basketball also.

Re: Pioneer Valley 13-14
Fort Frye already did that and in baseball 2 trifecta for the class of 13. Due to FF dominance in a sports the PVC will now be known as Fort Frye Valley League.

Re: Pioneer Valley 13-14
haha.....Fort and Central are the premier sports schools in the league, Fort dominates hoops, Central football and on occasion someone else slips in from time to time. I think this is a two tiered league next winter with Fort, Caldwell, Central, Trail all capable of beating each other on any night. Fort is too disciplined to let the hectic pace Central tries to play be a factor. I think Fort will beat them both times next winter but will get bumped off once by a Trail or Caldwell. I think it will be fun to watch how it plays out.
