I remember a few years back watching Andrew Bendolph put on a clinic as a freshman against a Chillicothe team that won state. I knew even during a tough stretch of losing seasons that the program was going to turn. I'm so glad that it came true in the fact that once again, Portsmouth basketball is back to elite status. The swag is 100% back I feel. Now, one more state championship is the last ingredient in the stew.

I'd love to see this years team have a true big man, a la "Neon" Dion McKinley, but no matter. What about R.K. Thurman?! I can't wait to watch Portsmouth take on Eastmoor. Again, it's all about defense and if Portsmouth is firing on the D end, Eastmoor will be incredibly frustrated. The Trojans historically have never been intimidated by the BIG FANCY CITY SCHOOLS, this matchup will be no different. Id love to see a sea of red and blue in the Convo for this one!

First time seeing the Trojans for me this year...I was really impressed by Reynolds. That kid can ball. Allison is fun to watch as well...he lets the game come to him. Like others said, only thing Trojans missing is a true big man. Either way, they have a good shot at getting back to state Saturday night*
