Meigs is on a roll. Athens has a new boost, as if they needed much. It will be interesting to see if Athens and Warren meet in the tournament if the difference is enough to push Athens to a win. This sectional has the makings for some great basketball.

Step 3: get one last shot at the Warriors before Burrow, Luehrman x2 graduate.

Same for Warren, got to beat Logan elm who Maddox is 0-4 against and then beat a Minford team that gave everything Warren wanted at Warren

I noticed you never answered which foul calls you actually thought were wrong against him. I know it is frustrating when your best player doesn't play smart, but every foul he had called in that game would have been called every single time against anyone. They called three other offensive fouls (2 against Warren) when Lutz got his early one. At least two others he and the Warren player were the only two near the ball (so ALL eyes are on them) and he jumped over a kid with position to merely try and swat the ball (no shot at the rebound), then he dove at some legs (not maliciously, just that he had no real chance for the ball at that point). Lots of hustle, but way out of control and just not smart plays for the circumstances.

Additionally, you leave out the fact that he remained in the game despite the early fouls and Warren was well in control (up 14 when he fouled out?).

It could be a completely different game if they meet again, but it is okay to admit they simply got taken to the woodshed the first time. (Leave the silly ref-whining to Logan fans.)

There would be an out roar if they allow a player to come back who quit the team and didn't play all year. That sounds like a desperate coach to me. Kid didn't get his way or didn't like how things were going and they beg him to play? I'd also say you will see a certain team give a very low vote to another in the sectional as you will in others. How about next year toss out the teams high vote and low vote to help stop this crap.

Unioto is the better team but athens is a nightmare because they have 6'6, 6'6, and 6'4 who are division 1 football players mixed with the most athletic player around running point. Athens has a size and strength advantage over every team in the district but lack depth at guard. Athens has one guard but he will play d1 college

A team with a surplus of guards, like Unioto, should be able to exploit the limited guard depth of Athens.

No matter what, I want to see this matchup because I think it would be a fun matchup with a ton of athletes on the floor at all times. Both teams have to get there first though!
