FUTURE OF LOGAN BASKETBALL
Re: FUTURE OF LOGAN BASKETBALL
I don't think Logan is looking for a coach...Has the current coach been given enough time? Not sure on that one, not my call...
BUT if they are, or when they do:
There is a man some of us know who:
1) grew up and graduated from Logan
2) former Logan coach at various levels
3) took over a struggling program in CBus and won several state basketball titles
4) recently retired from school administration
5) relatively young for what he has accomplished....
would it hurt to ask?

Re: FUTURE OF LOGAN BASKETBALL
Being a vocal member of the community there is absolutely NO TALK WHATSOEVER of Walsh being the next boys coach! Nobody that has any worth about either program has even mentioned that. Junior high boys? I could see that if a spot opened up.

I agree, but will he put up with all the so called arm chair radio coaches and unknowledgeable fans!javagt wrote:I don't think Logan is looking for a coach...Has the current coach been given enough time? Not sure on that one, not my call...

I can say with complete certainty that Walsh will not be coaching Logan's Varsity Boys team next year. Once again, moonshine is completely uninformed and simply making stuff up. This is in addition to being a complete dbag.[/quote]

Please understand this came from a group of good old boy's at a local breakfast place Micky D's! Plus there was no timeline mention!

Re: FUTURE OF LOGAN BASKETBALL
There's a lot of talent coming up in the next few classes, looking for some good ball in the future.

Good to know what in the pipeline, the hope is that the coach can develop and teach these young people the game and also lets hope these young people will stay in the program!Chieftain2009 wrote:If you've watched the 7th grade boys basketball team at Logan, you know the future is bright at Logan! The team went 10-0, which is because multiple games were cancelled because of weather. They won each game by 15 points, and would've won by more if their coach would've left the starters in for more than 3 quarters each game. The style of offense that this team ran was sent down from varsity, and by all means was the completely incorrect type of offense to run for their team. These boys have been playing together since they were little kids and have a sort of chemistry that is unlike anything I've ever seen. Other classes won't have much to offer to this team once they hit high school, but the size of the 8th grade team will surely help. 3 of these boys that are on the 7th grade team will no doubt be moved up to varsity as freshman, and should be starters. The future is great for Logan basketball. :122245

Great talent! I don't see any of them quitting, 24/7 basketball!
