Warren 11 Athens 7 ... not looking good for you 93dog ... does Akron have a winning record ???? the committee will look into that and get back to you on that

RAIDER6309 I took the records off of Max Prep (I'm not sure of the accuracy of any of what MaxPrep puts up BUT it does give me "stuff" to throw at my good friend 93dog  ) ... 93dog!!! one of the losses for North Miami was to Coral Park , from Miami FL ... Coral Park is 1-17 on the season! the one "W" was vs North Miami ... 14-8 for North Miami may be deceiving as well LOL ...

LOL ... hey, everyone has a bad night ... the 2012/2013 Division II district champion Athens Bulldogs LOST to Wellston last year at home!!!!

That's right, I said WELLSTON.

Maybe North Miami had all their starters suspended that game ...

... I can dig up more "stuff" but bottom line is I can't say how good one team is from another that Athens played in FL without having seen them play no matter what their records are LOL ... SVSM at 7-6? I know how they stack up vs teams Below the Line LOL ... the ONLY thing I KNOW for sure is that we will see 2 of the BEST TEAMS that Southern/SEOhio can put on a basketball court at the same time go at it for 32 minute OR MORE on Feb 3rd ... the players are outstanding across the board on BOTH sides, the coaching is outstanding on BOTH sides ... the fans on BOTH sides are outstanding ... I will be getting myself worked into another state of being unable to sleep come next Sunday night anticipating the game Monday night AND I DON'T HAVE A TEAM IN THIS FIGHT LOL ... just KNOWING, having seen, these TEAMS working to where they are now on the court , playing the schedules to prepare them for games like this and beyond ... glad I can be in attendance, sitting in the Cheap Seats with a smile on my face ...

Its like de salles upsetting Clinton Massie in football. CM had over 200 more yards of offense. De salles scored on special teams. Sometimes u lose to lesser a opponent. Why everyone loves sports

... talk about building the hype for "a game" - from this week's Elite 8 rankings ...

2. Warren (12-3)/Athens (12-3)

Warren will need to beat New Lexington Tuesday night/and then Fairfield Christian at the WarriorDome Saturday night to hold onto the #2 spot while Athens will be at Meigs Tuesday and entertain Vinton County on Friday night to keep pace ... can either Warren or Athens move into the #1 spot by Sunday prior to the Feb 3rd meeting ??? Logan Elm takes on 14-2 Zane Trace Tuesday night then travels to Fairfield Union for a MSL contest Friday 1/31 ...

Coach Maddox did a tremendous job of putting together an exceptional schedule. Playing tough games is one thing but the where they are at on that schedule is just if not more important. Playing tough games in December is fine but this late January early Feburary run of challenging games Warren is playing is sharpening their execution raising their level of play.
Kudos to Coach Maddox.

GO BIG BAD BLUE!

I liked what Warren was doing heading into the match-up with the Bulldogs ... big games versus tough opponents ...

But as everyone sits at home and twiddle's their thumbs watching the snow come down now - Athens and Warren may both enters Monday's game with a 'rusty blade'.

I think I saw half of Warren's and Athens basketball teams out slay riding today and the seen was kids having fun! Maybe you guys need to dust of your sleds and go back in time and join in. The intensity that you guys go at it with is the source of most heart attacks. Pow gotcha

Athens wins if folks stay out of the players way. Rather handily I might add. But if someone tries to get in the way of the players, with timeouts and such, Warren could be coached to a close win. JMHO.

Maddox's teams have always played solid defense and they do in fact use their timeouts to their advantage, so yes I would say Warren will be in the way :122245
