Athens (13-3) at Warren (13-3) - CANCELLED

According to Pfloyd's projections if the game is not played, this would mean the top three seeds will be 1) Warren, 2) LE and 3) Athens. If this is the case, if both teams get through early round, LE and Athens rematch for the sectional title in Logan.

That will be fun. :122245

1. Athens
2. Warren
3. Logan Elm

... in any scenario imo Logan Elm is not the #1 seed imo ...

WOW! PFloyd I admire your analysis. You are spot on. Might upset a few LE fans but who you play and when you play them clearly matters. We saw it yesterday in the girls draw. Belpre was seeded 3rd behind 2teams(NY&Alex) they had a better record than. It happens every year in the NCAA draw.

Few items to clarify...

1. Athens' senior night is Saturday. Seniors that don't normally get a lot of playing time will that night.
2. Propel is coming and spending the night I heard. Athens can't cancel and leave them stuck with that cost.
3. The game has NOT been rescheduled yet. Coaches and ADs working on it now.
4. Athens doesn't play tomorrow, why doesn't Warren cancel with Fort Frye and play tomorrow.
5. Finally the Athens girl's team plays Thursday vs Alex and next week, Feb. 12. Not fair to the girls to schedule a game this big on top of those big games.

... in my opinion IF the Warren vs Athens game is NOT played before the sectional seeding day on Sunday Athens has no shot at the #1 seed UNLESS Fort Frye beats Warren Tuesday night at the WarriorDome ... as stated on another thread FF has won 10 in a row but you have a Warrior TEAM that has had to bring it's "A" game vs outstanding competition on the road/on neutral courts since before Christmas - they have answered the call each time ... Tuesday nights clash will be a good one between the Warren Blue and Fort Frye for sure ... rivalry games are ALWAYS "not by the book" affairs - anything can happen and usually does LOL ...

It's all a moot point. They will not cancel the game with Propel (senior night.)

The sun came out ... snow has melted ... lets just play ... lol

The best course of action, IMO, is to call up Meigs and push our Wednesday game back once again to next Wed. Then play Warren this Wednesday night.

I'm sure coach Kight, who has a vote in the DII Logan sectional, wouldn't mind pushing our game back so the 'Dogs and Warriors can play this week ... it would make his vote a little easier decision if these two would play before the draw ...

The only way they play it on Saturday is if they play it early. Biggest game for the girls to try to make it 22-0. Coach skinner's daughter is on the team. Warren vs Athens is meaningless to the draw. Logan elm is the one

LOL ... that is ridiculous.

If anything Warren is the No. 1 right now. The ONLY shot Athens had was if it beat Warren - but at least it gave them an opportunity. Not playing them at all, gives them no shot what so ever.
