That league game has been moved numerous times. Heck, that was suppose to be the Bulldogs season opener back on Dec. 6th ... lol ... I'm sure moving it again was not that big of deal.

Like most people, I am so glad this game will get played (hoping the weather doesn't get us again). This is truly a win/win for Athens.

If they beat Warren, they have a great shot at the #1 seed and avoiding both Warren and LE in Logan.

If they fall to Warren, Warren will have the inside track to the #1 seed and LE will likely get the #2 seed and Athens #3. Therefore Athens would avoid Warren in the sectional and get LE, assuming both win their opening games. Not that LE would be an easy game by any stretch, but Athens wants no part of Warren in Logan. Who would? They are the defending regional champs.

A win or a loss Wednesday night, either way, Athens just wants this game to happen.

raider 6309 yes Warren has a game with FORT FRYE on Tuesday jv and varsity jv starts at 6:00 pm.

This has been a terrible year for bad weather and basketball.

We may get bad weather tonight, but it will end in the early hours on Wednesday morning. No more precipitation expected after that. Depending on how bad it gets over the next 24 hours, all I ask is that you hold off on cancelling the game until at least the afternoon.
