Caldwell 63 @ Fort Frye 70 Final

Post by EasternDspy »

This is a big game a loss here could put Caldwell out of the league title race.

Caldwell plays 3 qtrs a night. They led 9-1 Whitehall until a minute to go an missed big free throws, were tied @ central with 20 seconds to go an lost. Missed big free throws an were like 8/20 for the game. Blew 12 point lead @ meadowbrook, missed a ton of big free throws an lost in ot. It's their Achilles heel. If this game is close it could be a huge factor.

Positive is they have lost battles to two really good teams an blew a big lead against a solid team. They will have their hands full with fort

Big one in terms of the PVC race. As mentioned before, Caldwell has played relatively well for a large part of the game against solid competition, but just haven't been able to put together a full game. They'll need to fix that if they want to take down the Cadets on their home court. Four quarters of solid, fundamental, smart basketball.

My prediction is Fort Frye by 10-15. This game is at home for Fort Frye and they just don't lose at home. Caldwell will have to rely on someone besides Weichman if they want to have a chance in this game because I have a feeling Lang will be on him all night.

My son told me that Wiechman didn't practice much last night because of a knee issue and that he could barely run. I think Clark is starting to get healthy though. Carpenter isn't supposed to play because of an ankle injury. Sometimes he really helps on D and other times not so much. Will be interested to see what they look like tonight. Sounds like they're the walking wounded right now. They will have to play a really good game to have a chance tonight.

Cadets won both JV, and varsity.
Jv 44-23, and varsity 70-63.

D'spy should have his rundown posted soon.

Seth was in foul trouble most the 1st half and Cadets trialled by a many as 12. The Skins could not handle pressure.

Weichman had a big nite for the redskins. He probably had about 30? and Harding had four or five threes.

Don't know about FF, Chan, and a lot of others just getting what they could.

The Cadets got in a slump early with Seth on the bench he didn't play well tonight. Cadets pressed in second half and caused 4 straight turnovers to start 2nd half. Tanner Harding made 4 huge 3s to keep Caldwell in the game. I don't have a total for Weichman but I know he missed a lot of free throws. He did play well he almost seem to quick for Chan at times. If you're Caldwell you have to feel like you let that one slip away with missed free throws and missed layups. If you're the Cadets you have to be excited you could pull off a win with your best player having an off night. Chandler Lang with a season high 19 was huge and Carter chipped in with 16.Also a big night for Logan Madison.
