Valley led 40-39, and Warren closed the game on a 24-11 run.

Final:

Warren 64
Valley 51

Indians now 7-1 (4-0 SOC II)

Get rested up through the holidays Valley, and get ready for a strong SOC run!

free throws and shooting.... Warren caught fire in the fourth and we had no answer.

I'd be willing to bet Scott will be having these guys wearing out the free throw line the next couple of weeks...

Should have started weeks ago! We have hit a stretch over the last 3-4 games of about 50% from Charity. Really can only get better from here!?

The problem valley had tn and they've had the last couple games is they are not sharing the ball. The first couple games they had 4-5 players in double digits and the scoring was balanced. Now the only people taking any shots are Dunn and west, valley really just needs to share the ball some more and they'll be fine as they're defense Is much improved.

Stats from the Warren vs Valley game

Warren stats:
21-55 field goals 38%
8-19 3s 42%
14-18 foul shots 78%
26 def. rebounds
9 off. rebounds
16 turnovers

Valley stats:
20-57 field goals 35%
5-24 3s 21%
6-16 foul shots 38%
17 def. rebounds
9 off. rebounds
15 turnovers

I liked the Valley team, maybe not their best game but they showed ME they are for real. Foul shots and 3s hurt them tonight but I like their game.
Warren clean up the turnovers!! 14 in the 1st half give me a break!! I think they got an ear full at half time. I did not know if coach Maddox was going to bring them back out at half time. That must of been some speech, only 2 in the 2nd half.
Good luck to Valley the rest of the season.
Warren on to Waterson Monday.
GO TEAM WARREN WARRIORS!!!!!!!!

I agree that the scoring was much more diversified earlier in the season but I believe that had a LOT to do with playing the depth of the bench. It really is neat to see how the different combinations of players change the 'flavor' of the game while giving needed rest.
If we continue to rely on two or three for all the scoring while shooting SUB 50% from the charity strip we will struggle with the 'Warrens, Minfords', and other good quality competition we have coming up.
I LOVE our defense and how scrappy we are. These Boys just NEVER give in and CAN go far this year if we work out the 'bugs' a bit. ROLL TRIBE!!

Hayden took 2 shots in the first half Saturday night. Valley is sharing the ball just fine, they are just not making shots yet.

The first couple of games, teams came out and thought they could run on Valley and have the advantage because they were short on gym time. The was not the case and the Indians were able to get up and down and get a lot of easy looks for everyone on the court. Now, the last few games, teams have refused to run and have made Valley play in the half court and the shots haven't been as easy.

This team will be fine. Warren is a very good team with a ton of experience and a stud in Mr. French.
