probably the Cadets toughest game of the season.
Look for the Warriors to be playing in Columbus (beyond the regular season) next spring. :122246

Now this will be a really good game and if I lived closer I'd like to see how good this Warren team is. Anyone know what Fort's record is at home the last few years?

Fort Frye is 18-3 in last 21 home games but 2 of the losses came to Warren(Shenandoah Dec 2011).Though they have played Warren tough they have yet to win since 2009. Both teams love to get out and ball this will be fun. Warren will be ready coming off a loss.

What type of size does FF have? I am looking forward to reading up on how this game plays out.

IF Fort Frye has a weakness, it is likely inside. River didn't do much right, but they did get several offensive rebounds.
Lagraen isn't a banger down low, and Madison isn't the athlete the others are. The others mentioned are perimeter oriented players from what I have seen.
Keep FF in the half court limiting easy baskets on fast breaks.
Run them off the 3 point line
Protect the rim with your big guy and don't let others leave the shooters
Not many big guys capable of doing this, but Warren likely has the athletes to do so.
Any shot FF takes that isn't a 3 pointer or a layup is a good defensive possession against them.

I think the Cadets should try the Portsmouth box in 1 but I have never seen FF run a zone. To beat Warren the Cadets got to frustrate the Warriors big 3.I figure Cadets will just play right half court man to man.

I have seen FF run a zone, but never a "junk" defense. I'd be shocked if they played something other than man unless foul trouble happens.

When did you see the Cadets run a zone? I know Big Dan despises zone.

Re: Warren (1-1) @ Fort Frye (2-0) Dec 14
Year in and year out the Warren/Fort Frye play some great and memorable games. Tomorrow night will be no different. Looking to be giant killers on their home court the Cadets are a undefeated and confident team. Beating the Warriors this past June at the MC Shootout in a sudden death game only adds to that confidence. There is no fear of Warren coming from Beverly.
Warren is looking to rebound from a tuff loss on Tuesday to Portsmouth. Going to to Fort Frye is not what I would have ordered to right the ship but you have to play whoever is next on the schedule. The Cadets do present some problems but the matchup favor the Warriors. How well can Warren defend especially the freshman Anderson. His outside shooting could be a huge factor. On the other side which of Warren's main scorers does Fort Frye commit to stopping. As well as Portsmouth did defending French the game was still very close.
How well will Fort Frye handle Warren's length? Will the Cadets try to push the ball b4 the Warriors can set up the 1/2 court trap defense?
Lots of variables but that's what makes it fun to watch. Both team know each other and some even play AAU and fall ball together. So play hard and compete, they will. Shake hands and respect each other, they will. Memories for a lifetime!
GO BIG BAD BLUE!
