Quite a few, only had 31 points though...however he said he would rather only have 3 points and a win.

He's right. 31 doesn't mean much when you lose. Good for him for recognizing that. Sounds like southern let him get his and just focused on stopping the rest of the team. Interesting strategy.

Meigs took lots of stupid shoots . Lots of individual play . Slow on defense . Playing like they did last night they will win less then 8 games

Pretty good win for a Southern team that is supposed to be down this year. Meigs has some work to do. Mattox will have to carry the team on his back all year. If he has a bad game, they will lose by 30+.

I was surprised by Southern's play, in a good way. Granted Meigs is 3x larger school. Also heard that Meigs had some good players not go out. Same was said about Southern, but didn't see it in their play.

Thats because we are on the verge of a return to glory like the days in the 80s when cousin H and the gang ruled basketball in SEO. Those kids that didnt come out cant help us anyways. They was too busy liftin them dang waits. Carl always used to tell us no lifting because it throws off yer shot. The kids who are left are going to make a deep tourney run this winter.
