True that’s the best win but the 3 were very winnable. Jackson is very intimidating. We all know how they call a foul will decide this. If they let the boys play one Jackson should be just fine.Ironman92 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 5:24 pmI’d like to hear why. Jackson’s best road win is at Meigs. Haven’t been great on the road.LucasDavenport wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 4:19 pm I like Jackson in this one.

He doesn’t frustrate himself with forced shots and crashes the boards more this year than he ever has. He’s also way better at the foul line. If he scores around 25, burg will win.

Re: Jackson @ Wheelersburg
Davis is a good player and is only going to get better. Holden can and will play all over the floor. I have yet this year seen anyone be able to stop or even slow Holden down. You may be right, I've only seen Davis play mayby 3 or 4 games this year. Holden is very good at drawing fouls on anyone trying to guard him. I hope that it's a very good ballgame, and that the " Key " players for each team are able to stay on the floor, not sit out half the game because of foul trouble, and let the best team win.allamericanironman wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 10:51 pmOne word:wobycat wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 8:08 pm No one has had an answer to Holden this year. Davis was great on defense with Devin Carter of McClain...Carter a 6’4 post player who is very good was held to 4 points.
Holden is a different player. Different part of the floor, longer, faster, more athletic. I saw what he did against Harvest Prep....hope he keeps that game at home.

Agree on all points.. Davis is a great post player and extremely physical in the post. However, Holden plays the wing and is quicker. I don't foresee Davis guarding Holden (that will likely be one of the Donaldson's or perhaps even Yates), but Davis can definitely help keep Holden off the glass.
Lucas - you're right! Ironman92 and the Ironmen trying to play the underdog role when they're one of the top D2 teams in the district! Come on Ironman92!
I'll stick with my earlier prediction. Great game, close game, but Burg wins 66-61.

Re: Jackson @ Wheelersburg
How the game is called will make a huge difference. Many times if you breathe on Holden its a foul especially at home. He is a great player but I think sometimes refs anticipate what will happen before it takes place. He is not just
a wing player any more. Both times I have seen them this year he was dominating in the post. He has adapted his game and is almost unstoppable in Southern Ohio.

Re: Jackson @ Wheelersburg
I really don't think Holden will be held under 20, no matter how solid Davis is on D. Holden gets his on the glass, in transition, and on the perimeter. Can score in a variety of ways, I just see him being dominant again like he's been all seasonallamericanironman wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 10:51 pmOne word:wobycat wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 8:08 pm No one has had an answer to Holden this year. Enjoy this one tonight. It should be a good one.
Ironman92 is correct about Jackson’s road struggles but I would think the atmosphere and anticipation will bring out the best in Jackson.
Good luck to both.

Re: Jackson @ Wheelersburg
I have a feeling Jackson will have the advantage if they can find a way to get 4/5 threes tipped in by the defense

I expect this to be a very PHYSICAL game. Hoping for an injury free contest. I will take Burg at home in a close one. 63-61
