Also, the guys listed in the late 80's, early 90's only had 20 regular season games and now players have 22 regular season games. It doesn't sound like much, but if you are a 3 year starter that averages only 20 points per game, they already have 120 more points than those who came before them. I can't believe Burg has never kept track. Just curious, how were the stats found? No one before the 80's score 1000?

Would think that Bays, Rase, Thomas would have had 1000. IIRC, Rase and Thomas had 40+ games and a bunch in the 30's.

The weird thing for points, do you count pre consolidation stats? Athens careers leader should be Roger Bentley but he played 3 years at Chauncey and 1 at Athens

I think they should count. Maybe an asterisk beside it with the consolidation note, but 1,000 is 1,000

Correct. But, the question that was asked was do points count from a high school before the schools were consolidated.

I don't think so on Borden. Last year I know Landon Carroll, I also think Michell Hale.

Hard to believe....as a soph I thought Borden was 18 ppg at Jackson. Adding in 2 more years and all those tournament games I would’ve thought he would’ve made it

You very well could be right. My friend went to the OH-Wellston game tonight, and called and gave me the score of the game. He also wrote the names down that were on the banner, I wouldn't have thought that he would have missed 3 names, but he very well could have.

I'm sure you're probably right. Back in the 50's, there was for sure no 3pt. shots either. I've been told that he was an outstanding player for Western Kentucky.

Connor Scott — coaching now at Washington Court House would be his great great nephew. Stretch was an Uncle to Connors grandfather Larry Cayton but only a few years older and the two played together at Oak Hill.
