Gallia still hasn’t been able to close out a big game. In 2 years. Will hopefully get another chance tommorow night. But letting ironton out to. 15 to 4 early lead. Then letting ironton score first 9 points of 3rd quarter was a lot to over come. Especially with Corey call playing thru pain and scoring zero points tonight.

Proud of the effort. But blue devils have to execute better to close out games.

Officiating very uneven. Not that either team I thought got ripped. But the trail official on one end of floor called everytime a kid hit the floor a push in back and the trail official at other end seemed to swallow his whistle and called nothing in that circumstance.

Blue devils just ran out of patience in second overtime.

I know they played 8 extra minutes, but that still feels insane. Was either team fouling a lot late in the game/overtimes?

Looks like 39 in regulation and 11 in the OT's of which 3 were intentional in the last minute of the 2nd OT

I thought blue devils had ironton gassed at half. Ironton came out in 3rd quarter and spread the floor and slowed the pace down. There were like 13 fouls in first quarter. Ironton had like 3 fouls in first 30 second followed by Galla getting like 5 the next 2 minutes to start game. There were 50 fouls called and I think the general feeling would be they really let them play. There wasn’t much Ricky rack about this game at least not early. If ironton hadn’t change pace to start 3rd quarter there would of been a ton more fouls called.

I don’t know who the adult blonde headed guy with the ball hat is that acted like a fool after both Ironton/Gallia games this year but hats off to the Gallia Academy player that steered him away as the deputy was arriving. Dad can probably learn some class from that young man. Ridiculous how this guy was screaming at Ironton’s coaching staff and players as they were exiting the locker room. No place for that in high school sports.

I think you missed the first part when the ironton coaching staff would not move from the door way as they were yelling at Gallia Parents and players. It did escalate but it was not started by anyone except Irontons coaching staff.

Also the deputy informed Irontons coaching staff twice to go board the bus. It wasn’t until after the second time that they listened.

Not saying that you're wrong, and that they weren't yelling at the Parents and players, but " Why ", they one the game, you would have thought that they would have been happy to get out of dodge with the vivtory.

Why would they board the bus? All the kids were not out of the locker room.

That guy was lucky he didn’t go to jail at Ironton and to act like that again only to be restrained by his kid is ridiculous. No place for that at a high school athletic event.

I heard Gallia Academy fans complaining about Coach LaFon at halftime out by the concession stand for using profanity... I hope his Mom doesn’t wash his mouth out with soap when he gets home.

Coach Lafon using profanity? Not funny. No place for that in high school athletics either. We should expect more out of the leaders of young men.

I think they stood in the doorway to try to intimidate the parents standing there. As soon as one parent commented for them to move they blew up. Even screamed at a coaches wife and a student. One dad did took it too far. And by this time all players were already boarding the bu. That is why the sheriff deputy asked them to get on the bus. Did anyone else catch the Lawrence county deputy by Lafon’s side. It was a set up. He wanted the reaction out of the parents and he got it. His coaching staff played right into it, yelling and cursing.

What is the rule on bonus foul shots? A few times last night The Blue Devils took the ball out instead of shooting after an Ironton foul. I didn't understand why there were no shots?

Doesn't apply on a player/team control foul (offensive). I would assume that would be the situation.
