Fairland 37 Gallia Academy 31 final what a game. Fairland leads after 1quarter 7-0. Defensively blue devils couldn’t of asked for a better start. Fairland had 2 or 3 turnovers in 1st quarter but only shot 50% from field. Blue devils had 4 turnovers in 1st and was 0-7 from field 5 of the 7 shots quality starts.
Second quarter was 17-9 to when fairland kid hits a 3/4 court shot at buzzer to go up 20-9. A very even quarter.
I have complained about the Gallia coaching staff when necessary tonight I want to give them credit they came into game with a winning game plan and made adjustments at half time. In 3rd quarter blue devils just went to denying Thomas the ball in front court and frustrating porter. Both teams only made 2 baskets in quarter blue devils just couldn’t make a shot when they had to.
24-13 entering 4th quarter and blue devils went to the trap game and once again a great move holding this until 4th quarter because not only did you trap but everyone knows we use the diamond trap . Well this game we came out in a different trap. Blue devils got as close as 28-27 probably stayed in press one two many possessions. Fairland got a easy layup beating press blue devils missed a easy shot and had to start fouling because down 3 a minute to play and fairland closed it out.
The blue devils were the better conditioned team tonight it was fairland grabbing at there shorts and making tired plays late in game. Blue devils maybe gave up 8 or 9 back door baskets pretty good against fairland but what was impressive they proposed forced turnovers over on 6 or so back door plays.
Quality win by fairland.
Blue devils play with the effort of tonight value your possessions like tonight you will be a very tough out for anyone in tourney.
Coach Harrison good job tonight. I am sure there will be haters even tonight but you put your team in a position to win.

Shac finals
Eastern Brown 42-38 Ripley. Big win for the warriors, and this could really push their seeding in the Waverly D3 sectional to a 1-2 imo.
Peebles 53-42 CNE
West Union 50-47 Northwest

Congrats warriors. Another example of how tough it is to go undefeated in the SHAC. Playing 13 league games against teams in both divisions of the SHAC ensures teams will be battle tested.BallDontLie wrote: Tue Feb 05, 2019 11:03 pm Shac finals

The Peebles win was very satisfying to me as I got to see our kids play a great game plan against a team that had the best big man I've seen all year. He had a triple double but the Indians prevailed. Sounds like Northwest played well tonight. Congrats to all.
