West Union gave Fairland all they wanted at the Dave Young Classic, playing without one of their best players. That game was in doubt near the end of the game. West Union is a streaky team and pretty confident. Should be a great game.

Last season West Union beat Chesapeake in the Dave Young classic so let's not get so quick to count them out.

Saw WU play at North Adams Classic. Unless their missing player was a big they're in trouble in this one. They had one scorer on the floor and shot themselves out of the game with Fairland. Once Fairland adjusted and stuck Mondlak on the scorer WU couldn't score at all. Fairland hit a dagger 3 at the horn of the 3rd qtr and dominated the 4th. Pretty sure West Union only scored 28-29 points in that game. Peake is way more athletic and deeper. If they can hit a shot or two to help Archer get some space this could be a blowout. I see Archer and Hutchison having a field day inside in this one.

I've only seen WU once and Chesapeake twice, but I would say that Chesapeake is the more disciplined team and WU doesn't have the size to deal with Archer. He's going to be a big problem for the Dragons on the inside.

I know WU dominated Western, but over the past 2 weeks they lost to a bad Southeastern team (SE's only win of 2019) and then really struggled to get by an okay Huntington team. Those are teams that Chesapeake would have taken care of fairly easily (and did against SE, without Archer). I know it is all about matchups, but I still think Chesapeake matches up pretty well with West Union here.

You guys are sleeping on the Dragons. They lost this year in the Dave Young classic the day after their homecoming game at noon. Last season they executed at the end of the game and beat Chesapeake at the same event. Archer had a big half against them last year but adjustments were made and WU prevailed. I don't feel like this will be a double digit win by either but we shall see. When they tip this off it will be a war.

Without Rothwell playing West Union was playing without their senior leadership and scoring leader.halftime score was 20-18, 3 quarter mark was 32-25, and final was ,43-29. It was still 5 point game in fourth with 4 to go .West Union couldn't get any closer ,fouled to get the ball back and Fairland hit their foul shots. Chesapeake vs West Union will be a good game.

Rothwell is probably their best defender. That kid is one tough player. If Tomlin and Kingsolver hit shots look out it could be a big surprise to many in the southeast district. Their big 3 players are nothing to sleep on. They all 3 can carry the load for the Dragons.

Congrats to my panthers..well played by a game west union...be hard for us against adena but didnt think we would get past beaver eastern so hopefully wrong again
