who would be your starting 5 from SEO this year.
Re: who would be your starting 5 from SEO this year.
Everyone is entitled to their own biased opinions but you’ll never get an honest comparison from fans and that’s ok. Kinda what makes this site fun.
Re: who would be your starting 5 from SEO this year.
I believe that I could pick my starting 5 from SEO partly because I've probably watched some of these kids more than I have others, then I also am pretty sure that I could then chose another starting 5 that are just as good and deserving as my first 5. Not all the time, but sometimes I think we tend to just think of kids that score a lot as the best players that we watch, when really there are other kids that mean as much or even more to there teams. I really think that I could pick 20 kids for my starting 5, but even then I'm afraid that I would be leaving someone off that is equally deserving.

I would go with Loveday, Nesser, Baer, Swain, Little, Beeler, And add in Noel and Maughmer.

If Robertson isn't the best PG around here, then who is? Robertson reassured my vote after he whipped up on my team, quickest shot release known to man.
Re: who would be your starting 5 from SEO this year.
You obviously haven't seen Maughmer from Chillicothe play then because he's better than maybe every player on that list.PirateFan[69] wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 8:00 am Robertson, Truitt, Sexton, Hammond, Noel will beat any of your starting fives...
Wallis 5'10" - Jackson
Evans 6'0" - Zane Trace
Maughmer 6'5" - Chillicothe
Terry 6'10" - Alexander
Loveday 7'0" - Gallia/Huntington Prep
Run a zone with those two monsters and good luck getting any shots in the paint!
That team beats your five 9/10 times.

I think it could be any of Robertson, Wallis (Jackson), Beard (Chillicothe), Evans (Zane Trace), and as a sleeper who deserves some discussion would be Kearns from Alexander....PirateFan[69] wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 8:02 amIf Robertson isn't the best PG around here, then who is? I would take Noel over Terry all day, but since Noel was in his starting 5 I figured he wouldn't be able to play on both hypothetical teams since they'd be facing each othermlittle wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 8:23 amNoel instead of Terry and that’s dynamitebbjunky81 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 8:18 amYou obviously haven't seen Maughmer from Chillicothe play then because he's better than maybe every player on that list.PirateFan[69] wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 8:00 am Robertson, Truitt, Sexton, Hammond, Noel will beat any of your starting fives...

There are honestly I’m guessing 20 ish players you could put into a pool and randomly draw out of a hat, and have 4 teams that play within 5 points of each other.
2nd 5 could be:
Robertson
Little
Truitt
Bennett
Terry
Not sure who would wanna play that 5 either.

Agree about Maughmer, he seems to be the least talked about kid of all these players, yet he may be the most talented of all of them. No big deal, but not really sure that Loveday can be put on a SEO list since halfway through last season after leaving Gallia Academy for Huntington Prep ?bbjunky81 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 8:18 amYou obviously haven't seen Maughmer from Chillicothe play then because he's better than maybe every player on that list.PirateFan[69] wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 8:00 am Robertson, Truitt, Sexton, Hammond, Noel will beat any of your starting fives...

Agreed and that’s taking nothing away from Robertson, He’s a stud.
Re: who would be your starting 5 from SEO this year.
Logan Blouir for Gallia has dominated Wallis every time they have matched up during the past 6 years. This year doesnt count i suppose as they havent played so 5 seasons is more accurate. Not that Logan is a traditional PG but plays the position. Wallis is very good and lots of fun to watch the effort he plays with, but he simply isnt on the same basketball level as Blouir. Logan is definitely the best OVC player. PG from fairland can shoot with anyone, anywhere. But not athletic enough to crack the all SEO lineup.
