How did you come up with your user names?
Re: How did you come up with your user names?
Now I’m gonna have to make a burner account so I can be clever like some of you guys lol. One of the better irrelevant topics we have had.

Mine is quite simple..
A grad of the "school on the hill" as alot of us refer to the old OHHS.
Old timer is actually what a couple of 30+year olds respectfully called me at my fed job. Pops was already taken by my boss/friend.
That's it....

I was a 3 point specialist. Never met a shot I wouldn’t take. But really I just like anonymity and wanted a name no one could guess who I was or what team I liked. Kinda ruined it by showing my OH bias lately

Re: How did you come up with your user names?
Early on in my reading of this forum (7-8 years ago), I saw a car while driving in Hocking County that, by taking a look at it, let’s just say... gave me the impression it could have been you driving it! (Hope that makes sense.) That, even for a brief 15-20 seconds I was in the same space as the legendary pfloyd, whose posts I read and enjoyed, even if was just a fleeting appearance as we went about our daily lives. Sort of a mystical experience! Ha. 3-4 years later on the annual pilgrimage to the Convo, I finally got to cross off a bucket item list held (and also crossed off) by many SEOPer’s and got to meet the man, myth and legend and yuk it up for a few minutes “in the cheap seats.” Very cool all around, thanks for not only doing what you do but also for you being you! Enjoy the tournament, pfloyd!pfloyd wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 11:25 am pfloyd ... When I made my name I wanted it to represent Eastern District Spy. So many ppl think I’m an Eastern fan.
Re: How did you come up with your user names?
Mine might sound like it is from a Beatle Song but in away it isn't. I had a friend that loved the Beatles and had a race horse named Noreply, which I saw quite often and learned to like real well. The summer of 1966 they sold the horse to some guy in Kentucky. It always stayed with me and when I came on here I just put the two together.

LOL ... I'm pretty sure when you saw the car - you KNEW it was "probably" me pointing it in the direction it was going LOL ... I'm thinking "the man, myth, legend" equates to "old" then guilty as charged LOL ... I have had my current cheap seat location for many years - sorta out of everyones' way yet where anyone and everyone can find me if they so choose ... I thank you for finding "the cheap seats" formerfcfan ! I always have time to chat hoops and meet up with fans of hs hoops ...formerfcfan wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 3:35 pmEarly on in my reading of this forum (7-8 years ago), I saw a car while driving in Hocking County that, by taking a look at it, let’s just say... gave me the impression it could have been you driving it! I was a German linguist in the Air Force back in the day, and my fellow workers would call me Fast Fred in German. Don't ask me to speak it now, since I have forgotten most of it.

I am like Pfloyd, my favorite band. I love music period, but my taste may be a bit eclectic. And my name has a double entendre. Huh? search a little bit about my name, you will laugh your ass off. All in good fun. I am glad with my choice, and never had a doubt of choosing my user name.

Which huddle name? He got booted off of there so many times, even I don't remember anymore. I haven't been on that board (does it even exist anymore?) in at least seven or eight years.rickoshay wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 5:29 pmEverybody in Wash.
