Re: (6) Athens vs (11) Marietta
Not that it really matters, but the Marietta win by 20 over Meigs was without Baer for Meigs. He would have made some difference.93Bulldog wrote: Mon Feb 17, 2020 10:32 pm Blowing Meigs out by 20 last week.
(12-10) in the ECOL
Anyone who thinks Athens is the favorite because of seed is not very wise.
Be a very difficult match-up for the 'Dogs, but still doable.

Did Baer get the all time Meigs points record? I know do there, Meigs people said he was 72 from the record
Re: (6) Athens vs (11) Marietta
That’s pretty significant, especially for a team without much depthShoeHorn wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2020 2:53 pmNot that it really matters, but the Marietta win by 20 over Meigs was without Baer for Meigs. After watching Weston Baer for the past 3 years, I agree that it would be very significant. Am I wrong, or didn't he win POY in the TVC last year ?Ironman92 wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2020 3:03 pmThat’s pretty significant, especially for a team without much depthShoeHorn wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2020 2:53 pmNot that it really matters, but the Marietta win by 20 over Meigs was without Baer for Meigs. Nice win by my dogs. I'm surprised we blew them out and New Lexington upset a very good Sheridan team

Re: (6) Athens vs (11) Marietta
Athens led 10-7 after 1st
Athens led 25-16 after 2nd
Athens led 44-25 after 3rd
Athens 62, Marietta 36 Final
Andrew Stevens - 8
Brayden Markins - 22 and 9 rebounds
Nate Trainer - 9
Brayden Whiting - 12 and 7 rebounds
Will Matters - 11
* 3 points away from having 5 players in double figures. That's about as good as I have seen them play all year.

Re: (6) Athens vs (11) Marietta
Athens played very well. Marietta had 2 major problems on offense: many, many shots that didn't have a chance when they came out of the shooter's hand; and many instances of the person with the ball in their hands failing to maintain control of the ball.

And nobody’s talking about a Huge upset with Sheridan losing. Tournament basketball is brutal !
